Hey, can I ask for a hedcanons about blind Ignis, where his s/o helps him shave? (Well, sort of how it will respond that it will cut its accident partner due to lack of experience, and things like that?)

  • He’d try to manage on his own at first, because this is Ignis. A fiercely independent individual, who refuses to be someone reliant on someone else.
  • But he’d realize very quickly that without being to see, this was one of the tasks he would not be able to do. And he’d only realize it after he cuts himself fairly deeply on his jaw.
  • He’d call his S/O, who’d just help him take care of the wound and clean up the blood since he wouldn’t be able to see it. They wouldn’t want him any more uncomfortable than he looks.
  • However, it would catch them off guard when he asks them for help shaving. They know for a fact asking is killing him, so they immediately agree without pause.
  • However, he’d have to teach them, as they’d admit they’d never learned. He’d explain the basics and guide their hand for the first stroke, and it’s easy.
  • Though he’d press the knowledge that a nick or two is expected since their hands are unpracticed. They don’t like the thought, but prepare themselves mentally for it anyways.
  • True to form, they do end up cutting him. And though it stings, he doesn’t make any sound, knowing that his S/O would probably bolt away if he gave away that it did hurt.
  • They’d still apologize profusely, but manage to keep going. It’s only when his face is as smooth as he’d like and clean, that they’d help him with the small nicks on his face.
  • They’d dip a cotton ball in a potion they had on hand for such things and dab at the wounds until they healed.
  • Since Ignis was still learning to manage being blind, there was always a new nick or cut on him from things around the places they stayed. Which is why they had the potion on hand.
  • He’d thank them, and that would be that. They wouldn’t bring it up to him, nor he to them, because it still kind of burned him to think about how much his life was changing around him being blind.
  • He would, however, be a lot more affectionate toward his S/O for their help. He would deeply value their assistance, and want them to know just how much it meant to him that they’d help him with such silly things.
