Psst. @ the anon who sent me the ask regarding Prompto and Noctis with an S/o at the Chocobo carnival; did you mean like in a poly relationship or separate?
Oh, and in other new, I’m down to one ask guys. I have work though so feel free to send more asks to answer! 😀
Can I have a matchup please? i’m 5′ tall and petite. I have straight black hair with purple highlights, I also wear glasses (i like to joke around that i’m blind without them). I’m 23 years old. I love animals, books and food. I tend to be the quiet (awkward) one in groups and i have a somewhat dark and dry sense of humor. i try to do new things since i have social anxiety and it kinda helps. Thank you!!!
I match you with Ignis!

He’s a gentle person, and understanding. Despite his seriousness he also has a wicked sense of humor that’d get along with your dark and dry one. Both of you wear glasses, so I think he’d know little things to tease you about and to do with them that no one else would. (Like leaving a finger print on the lenses when you’re not looking.) Or maybe as a joke holding them in his hand while you’re looking for them.
Books he enjoys, but if you like food, and perhaps learning about it, he’d gladly welcome you into the kitchen with him to learn a thing or two. Not to mention he’s so stead and mentally solid, if your anxiety ever got the better of you, I think he’d know what to do to calm you down.
Howdy! Can I get a match up please (if it’s ok ;3)? I’m 4’10” and has black hair and brown eyes. I’m a massive introvert, as I get scared around anyone, including friends and strangers. Because I’m such a smol, I get scared easily in crowds (everyone is a giant) and just when anyone just enters my space. I like to draw and paint, as well as swim (cuz I love le ocean :3). My friends say I’m mischievous and a bit of a lowkey-mom friend. But I’m also the quiet friend in my circle. Thanks ^^
I match you with Prompto!

The mom friend would be welcome with Prompto I think. Though he can take care of himself, having someone that might help watch over his shoulder would be welcome. In crowds, if you’d allow it, he’d like to hold your hand so you wouldn’t get lost and let you lead him where you’d want to go. Seeing your drawings and paintings would be a treat for him.
The most panicky couple award goes too…
Kidding. In all honesty, trying to keep each other calm in scary situations would help I think. You both would have something other than your fear to focus on. You’re both a bot on the mischievous side, so things would be interesting between you both. (Picture the prank wars.) And because you’re so quiet, no one would suspect that you’re mischievous anyways.
Are you still accepting matchups? If so, could I please request one? I’m early 20s, 5’5.5″ (the half inch is super important) with short brown hair. I’m very petite, and can be pretty quiet unless I’m alone with a person, in which case I can talk for hours. Despite that, I’m still more of a listener. I’m an artist, studying 3D and animation, and I always take a lot of pride in the things I make, almost to a fault. I can also play guitar and I haven’t slept properly in almost 3 years. Thanks!!
I match you with Noctis!

It’s be a quiet relationship, one where both of your wouldn’t feel the need to fill the silence. He’d prefer anything said between the two of you to be just the two of you anyways. He seems like he’d be a private person. Not only that, but we all know he sort of bottled things up when he really shouldn’t. So having someone that’s good at listening would also be good for him.
You’re both proud people, and I don’t see this being a problem really, it would just be something to watch out for that you both wouldn’t get too proud. He’d be interested in your art, and I’m sure he’d love listening to you play guitar. (Plus, I think both of you would have issues sleeping, so staying up late and passing the time with each other would be a thing.)
Hello! Can I get a match up, please? Female, 5’3, lean, ginger hair and grayish green eyes. Not very sociable, but I highly appreciate friendship. Have interest in painting. Fond of piano. Like to read a myths, legends, detectives, psychological stories. The more strange, angsty and mystique they are the better. A big fan of jigsaw puzzles. Can spend all day with them. Afraid of loud sounds. Pretty stubborn when it comes to the things that I want. I hope my request didn’t bother you to much))
I match you with Gladiolus!

A friendship first is something that would be appreciated with him I think. The fact you read would also make you a good match. (Two person book club? I think so!) And though he’s more physically active, I think he’d enjoy sitting down and putting together a puzzle with you every once in a while. The loud sounds might be a bit of an issue, considering he’s sort of a loud guy occasionally. But nothing insurmountable.
The stubbornness would be as valued as it is vexing considering you’re both set in your ways. But it is a good thing. Anyone with a quieter personality would probably find themselves resenting his own stubbornness. Although, if he ever felt like you both are butting heads too much, he’d probably pick you up and refuse to let you down as a joke to diffuse the situation.
Happy to see another awesome FFXV imagines blog! I really enjoyed reading the Noctis and childhood friend-who-becomes-his-s/o writing you did and I was wondering if you could please do that for Iggy. I really love the idea of him having a longtime s/o, especially when it comes to the chapter 9 (and beyond) stuff lol. ^^ Thanks so much!!
Alrighty! 😀
It’d be a quiet friendship. One of the ones where you just see each other, and decide, “Yes, this is my person.”
They’d first meet when they’re 8. Ignis would be on his way into his lessons, and they’d be on their way out. Both are training to be advisers in the future, though they would be training for a lower tier than Ignis.
It would only take moment, but from then on when they’d see each other going from one lesson tutor to the next, they’d stop and talk for a few minutes, becoming friends. (Though they’d, in the spirit of professionalism, call each other colleagues as they grew older.)
This would go on for a few years, and eventually it would lead to them talking everyday on their phone in their spare time.
He’d talk about his future advising the prince, and some of the troubles he had with that.
They’d talk about how it was to sit in on their parent’s advising sessions with the council and some of the troubles they’d be dealing with when they were older.
Occasionally in high school, they’d meet up for lunch or dinner to talk face to face. Even if they worked in the same place, and in the same field even, it was rare that they’d actually see each other due to their duties.
(Also in high school they’d start dating other people, much to everyone around them’s distress.)
They also wouldn’t see each other unless they scheduled each other in.
People would start gently prodding at them, wondering if they realized their own depth of feelings for the other.
Both, to be honest, are oblivious to their own feeling. But this was one of the rare cases where it’d work. Neither would push or pull in either direction, and things would just happen naturally without any words said.
In later years something would shift between them and they’d actually schedule moments together at work. Not to talk or anything, but just to be in each other’s presence.
(It would also be at this point in time both have stopped dating other people, figuring that dating isn’t for them.)
Outside of work would also have shifted. They’d be comfortable enough to sleep over at each other’s apartments. They’d even sit on the couch and just nestle together. (When had they grown comfortable with contact with one another? Neither knew, it just sort of happened.)
Surprisingly, neither would state they’re dating. (No matter how much literally EVERYONE was pressuring it to turn into that.) Both wouldn’t want to hurt what they had with one another by labeling it.
All others in the Citadel have an unspoken rule of ‘DO NOT PURSUE EITHER OF THEM FOR THEIR OWN SAKE’ but visitors don’t know this.
Which leads to some situational jealousy when visiting noble children take a fancy to one of them. But both would just have to bite their tongue and walk the other way, lest they say something offensive due to this sudden uncontrollable possessiveness they felt.
They’re so dense about their own feeling they wouldn’t even understand why they felt possessive. Meanwhile, everyone around them would be like, dropping hints. EVEN GLADIO would be aware of it, but know better than to push. (Noctis and Prompto on the other hand are full on like, trying to think of how to get them to realize how much they care for one another. MEDDLING.)
(It frustrates EVERYONE when they still introduce each other as colleagues even after all this time. ‘Can’t they say FRIEND at least?’)
It’s only when it’s revealed that Ignis will be leaving for a year that they realize they’ve seen each other everyday for years, and neither really knows how to deal with this revelation. (I lowkey head canon that he was sent to travel for a year to get to know the world and see how things work outside of the crown city. As a finishing element in his education to be Noctis’ adviser.)
In the months leading up to his departure, they’d both have time to think of how they felt for each other, grow closer, and finally consider themselves dating.
Their first kiss was…well, it was something else considering they’re pretty sure they’ve loved each other since they were children. All that pent up tension gone into this one kiss.
(Side note; I think they’d enjoy still keeping it on the down low. Everyone is still exasperated with them and unaware that their relationship finally shifted into romance.)
When he finally does go, they’d both try and call each other often. But with his future s/o’s duties picking up, they’d be hard pressed for times to talk.
Upon his return, nothing outwardly would change. Both would be full fledged advisers and adults, and keep everything about themselves professional.
Outside of work though, they keep it hidden that they live together unofficially. They have half their things at his place, he has half his things in theirs.
Both aren’t very worried when it’s announced that he’ll be escorting Noctis to his wedding. It’ll be a month at most right? They bid their goodbyes earlier the day he leaves and both fall into their usual routines.
But then Insomnia falls. And there’s no answer to his phone calls. He’d worry endlessly, but both have always put their duties before each other. That was what they’re trained to do after all.
Things seem a lot bleaker to him, and it shows through subtly in his interactions with the others.
It isn’t until much later, when they reach Lestallum after the mess with the titan, that he receives a call from an unknown number. He doesn’t answer and they don’t leave a message.
However, when they’re doing a supply run after getting back the Regalia, he catches sight of them. It’s one of the rare moments he loses his composure and actually SPRINTS over to them.
They drop everything in their arms, which luckily wasn’t much, and throw their arms around him. After he’d put them down, they’d start talking and just, losing themselves in each other.
They both thought the other dead.
They’d spend the night catching up with one another, Ignis actually letting Noctis out of his sight for the night. They’d describe the fall of the city, and how they manged to survive. Not many of the advisers did it’s revealed. Most fell trying to guard the king.
They’d even reveal that at one point in time, they had almost died.
Ignis would also share his experiences on the road, and what the future may bring.
(TBH the boys would be lowkey tailing them, along with Iris, because HOLY SHIT THEY’VE BEEN DATING FOR HOW LONG?)
But in the morning they’d have to leave each other’s side again. But this time they have a way to contact each other and his S/O would wait for him to call. They never dared call him in case he was in a dangerous situation.
They’d wait for him to visit as well, never pressuring him to come back to them.
Their relationship would probably be the most stable thing in Ignis’ life actually. And that fact that they’d be willing to stand by him through everything would mean the world to him.
Headcanon with Noctis & s/o spending time at the Chocobo Ranch. Bonus: The little chocobos follow her/him because they really like him/her for some reason. How will the sleepy prince react ^-^
Awwww. Will do!
Upon arriving at the ranch, the two would split away from the others for a while.
Noctis’ S/O wouldn’t say anything, but he’d still notice that constantly being on the move was starting to wear on them.
He’d be the one to bring up the idea to spend time together, and they’d readily agree. Though, they’d be the one to suggest the Chocobo Ranch.
The others would busy themselves with other things, or even just relax in the caravan. (But Prompto will occasionally sneak up on them to snap a picture or two.)
Their first stop would be Wiz, to get something a snack on before going to see the Chocobos.
It would be then that Noctis’ S/O would notice that they have an admirer.
It’d start with a tugging at their shoe laces and a peep would be heard from under the table.
They’d both look under and see a Chocobo chick trying to get the S/O’s attention. The S/O would laugh and bend down to pick it up, letting it nestle into their lap while they ate.
Absent mindedly, they’d run their hand through it’s feathers and it’d fall asleep on them.
When they’d finish eating, they’d gently wake it and place it back on the ground.
It would be then that they’d go over to the shop and buy some gysahl greens to feed the chocobos in the pens.
Upon arriving over by the pens, one of the older Chocobos would start rearranging his S/O’s hair and clothes, grooming them. It’d then squawk at them indignantly if they tried leaving it. (Perhaps because they now smell like a baby chocobo from the one having slept in their lap?)
So they’d decide to rent a pair and go for a ride around the ranch.
And of course they’d stumble on the race tracks. Noctis’ S/O would automatically want to race. (Because of course they do.)
So they’d give it a try and whoops, they were not expecting that a chocobo could move so fast.
They’d both not really trying to win, they just want to see how fast they could go.
But suddenly a sabertooth would jump out and take a swipe at them. (Where’d it come from?)
Noctis would summon his sword and his S/O would summon their lance and they’d try and take it out as fast as possible. The last thing Wiz needed was another incident like Deadeye happening.
It’d be over quick, but his S/O’s arm would be injured.
Their chocobo would be distraught and would’t let Noctis near them when it realizes that they’re hurt. So they have to ride back to the chocobo ranch before being able to treat it.
They wouldn’t mind, they’d laugh at the situation in all honesty. “I think it adopted me.”
They’d get back, leave the chocobo in the pen (though it’d throw a fit when they walk away) and go to where the others are to pick up a potion for his S/O.
After being healed, they’d just go and sit and pet the chocobo’s for a while.
The baby one from earlier would see them and start hopping along behind them, peeping occasionally to try and get their attention again. And this time it has a friend with it.
They’d entertain the two with attention for a bit before returning their attention to the older ones. They’d go and calm the chocobo they had ridden earlier, and though it wouldn’t understand, reassure it that they’re fine.
It’s nuzzle them, and let them leave after that because…
There would now be three chick following them. Believe me, they’d be confused but Noctis would chuckle at the sight.
They’d allow it and go sit in the grass beside the shop to just sit and talk. Which of course, would allow the three chicks to nestle all around them. They’d peck at Noctis if he tried to touch his S/O.
“I wonder why they like you so much.” “Heck if I know.”
He’d find it SO DAMN CUTE seeing his s/o with the little chocobos.
Cue the resident black chocobo baby hopping along and perching on Noctis. However, they’d be facing his S/O and ignoring him.
They’d both get a laugh out of it, and notice that the others were starting to nestle around them as well.
(Prompto would be dying of the cuteness, and a bit jealous, but taking pictures or the two with all the chicks none the less.)
His S/O would end up with about 5 baby chocobos sitting with them, and Noctis, by proximity, would end up with three.
Wiz would walk over and comment on the amount. Apparently, Chocobo babies weren’t really the cuddly type. (It would normal for the chocobo chicks to take a liking to at least one person a day and follow them around for a bit. But it was a little abnormal that so many liked the same person and even stuck around them for so long.)
Noctis would, oddly enough, be a little proud of his S/O at this.
They laugh it off and comment that animals always seemed to like them.
Eventually though, they’d have to shoo them away so they could retire for the night. (But not without their ‘chocobo mom’ preening them when they pass by before letting them leave for bed.)
The only down side is both parties would be finding chocobo down in their hair for DAYS.
Bonus: Upon meeting Aranea and her seeing how different animals acted around them, she’d mention how their deposition reminded her of the beast tamers in Niflheim, “If you’d grown up there you’d fit right in with them.”
(Lowkey, they’d secretly start trying out some of what Aranea mentions and, to their surprise, it works.) (Now imagine the first time they try this skill out in battle and it works on a coeurl.)
2nd Bonus: I headcanon that Niflheim had a lot of job classes that Insomnia doesn’t. (Like dragoons)
Hi, how about Gladio confessing and first kiss with a very shy and timid crush?
Alrighty! Did someone say drabble? I heard drabble.
They didn’t handle loud noises very well. So seeing the grey clouds hanging in the sky above them wasn’t a very comforting sight. But they figured that had enough time to get home before the storm. Part of them prayed to the six that it’s be a quiet storm. The other part prayed for their anxiety about it to go away. But that didn’t happen.
Clearly.
All it had taken was one thundering boom from behind them and they had jumped almost a mile in the air with a squeak. They clutched their chest and turned around, eyes wide with fear. But then they relaxed, slightly, and frowned when they recognized the source of the noise. Gladiolus Amicitia. Who had tripped and fallen on the ground behind them. He was only an acquaintance, but even they knew he wasn’t clumsy. There must be something on his mind they figured.
They quickly darted over and began to help him back to his feet without being asked. Not that they were much help considering their size compared to his. It was like a mouse attempting to pull a cat to it’s feet. But it was the thought that counted, right? And so long as they didn’t make a fool of themself in front of him, especially him considering how much they liked him, they’d be fine. Meanwhile, Gladio huffed in embarrassment and gratefully accepted their help.
“T-that sounded like i-it hurt. Are you a-alright?” They asked once he was back upright. It was a little hard for them to speak to him properly. They didn’t really talk to him much, and their nerves prevented them from making an effort to fix that. But then again, it wasn’t just him. The same was true for almost everyone else they knew. They just weren’t very good with people in general.
He grunted and then answered, “Yeah, I’m fine, just didn’t see that rock there.”
“O-oh.” If they didn’t know better, they’d say that his face was a little rosy from his fall. They glanced at the ground and tried finding the rock, but couldn’t see one. Perhaps he kicked it off the road when he tripped.
He glanced down and then back up at them, coughing before saying, “You can let go now.”
“Oh!” They repeated and hurriedly let go of the arm they had grabbed. They then took a step back and hid their hands behind their back. “S-sorry!”
They glanced up at him and saw a weird expression on his face. They should have been paying attention dang it. They should have noticed they hadn’t let go, and now he thinks they’re weird, and he’ll probably avoid them and …their imagination began to run off with those thoughts and they couldn’t really handle it right then. So they did the only logical thing they could think of. They promptly turn around and began to walk away without another word.
Gladio was a little confused by the sudden departure, but didn’t let it daunt him.
“Hey wait!” He called, and jogged to catch up with them. Which, to their annoyance, it had only taken a second for him to do so. His stride was much larger than theirs after all.
They stopped where they were and turned to face him. Their expression questioning why he’d called for them to wait. (Those thoughts still began to pick at the back of their mind.) But that was when the sky decided to remind them it was still cloudy. Another crash, this one having nothing to do with the guy in front of them, shook the air and they squeaked again, covering their face. A slight shake settled into their shoulders and they had to remind themself to breath.
“Are you alright?” Gladio asked, leaning down and sort of brushing their hair out of their face to try and see them better. Never mind that their hands were in the way.
They had to count to ten before they could manage to pull their hands away and look up at him. And even then, they couldn’t trust their voice. So they nodded, lowering their shaking hands and looking up at the sky with panic.
When they felt comfortable enough they whispered, “I’m…I…Just…l-loud noises scare me.”
They looked off to the side, not wanting to meet his gaze. They fully expected him to make fun of their for their fear. But instead he only hummed in understanding. “Do you want me to call someone to get you? I can if you think you’ll have trouble getting home on your own.”
They shook their head no. “No one to call. I live on my own.”
He frowned at that. “So what do you do during other situations like this?”
“Wait it out.” They laughed humorously, their fear making them bold. “Nature doesn’t give me a choice to do otherwise.”
They eyed the sky wearily, feeling their fear begin to take over a bit. The next one would probably make them scream with how much anticipation they were feeling. They exhaled shakily. “I’ll be fine. I’m glad you weren’t hurt.”
They went to walk away again, but stopped when they felt a hand circle their wrist. “I’ll sit with you until it passes.”
Their eyes widened and they turned back around. “E-excuse me?”
“I said I’ll sit with you…if you’d like that is.” Gladio once again coughed into his hand, trying to cover the slight redness rising to his cheeks.
They were about to reassure him that, no, they’d be alright. But it seemed like the storm just wanted to mess with them, and another crash sounded from the sky. They flinched and spoke without thinking. “Alright!”
He look almost as surprised as them. “R-really?”
If they hadn’t been so freaked out, they’d probably have noticed that was the first time they’d heard him stutter. Ever.
“Y-yes.” They mumbled. “Can we please just go?”
He nodded and offered his hand to them. “Lead the way.”
They gladly took his hand, forgetting how this might look to others for the time being and just focusing on getting to their home. Gladio thanked his luck and the six for this. Ordinarily, they’d turn and run off from anyone who tried speaking to them after a few minutes. And plenty at school had tried to speak to them. They were just…awkward around others. Even he could see that. But somehow he was tagging along with them to their house. (And even holding their hand.) Perhaps the six were smiling down on him today?
They eventually lead him right to their house, and let go of his hand to fish for their keys in their coat pockets. Right when they found them and were about to open the lock, the thunder rang out again. They dropped their keys and wrapped their arms around themself. Gladio, simply wanting to be there for them, bent down, grabbed the keys, and opened the door. He then circled his arm around their shoulders and ushered them inside the house.
When they recognized they were inside they breathed a sigh of relief. But then they realized they had company and looked over at him. His arm was still around them and he was watching them, with an almost concerned expression. Like he was afraid they were going to bolt into the depths of the house and never return. They were tempted to honestly. But instead, they offered to take his coat and pointed to where he could store his shoes.
“It’s not often I have visitors,” They said softly, “We could just go to the living room if you want.”
He nodded, not opposed to the idea. “That sounds fine. Which way?”
They pointed to a nearby doorway. They both took off their coats and removed their shoes before going any further into the house. Once that was done, they led the way into the living room and made a beeline for the couch. There they had a throw that they wrapped around themself before curling into a ball and peeking out at him.
“Y-you can sit down…Sorry by the way. Normally I’m a little better at playing host.”
“You’re doing fine.” Gladio side with a small smile, “It’s understandable since you’re a little preoccupied with being a burrito.”
They felt their face flush and buried their face in the blanket with them and quietly whined, “Don’t make fun of me.”
It was then they could hear the rain start and the both were silent for a moment. Gladio was listening for any signs of thunder. They were already convinced that it was coming and began to shake again. When no sound was forthcoming, he turned his attention back to them and gave them a soft look.
“Here, make some room.”
He suddenly crossed the room and sat beside them without waiting for them to scoot over. They squeaked indignantly and wiggled to try and get a bit further away. But then he put his arm around them again and pulled them back over near him.
“I think it’d help if you had something steadying you.” He muttered. He was grateful that they had their face covered. They couldn’t see how red he was getting. “I know I don’t like facing my fears alone.”
And though they were loath to admit that he was right, it did help. Having something warm around them and, surprisingly, hearing his heartbeat was helping ground them. So they didn’t try wiggling away again. But they kept shaking. Nothing was going to help them stop.
“Alright. If you need to move though, just tell me and I’ll shift over.” They muttered, their voice shaking almost as much as they were.
Then both fell into a comfortable silence.
Night soon fell and the storm, after hours of pouring down, finally showed signs of letting up. There had been a few times when the thunder had come back, but with Gladio beside them to shush their frightened cries, it somehow wasn’t as back as it could have been. And they were nearly enjoying the company.
Gladio on the other hand was a bit appalled that they’d normally just go home during something like this and just sit here, terrified and alone the whole damn time. He was really glad he had run into them when he did. The though of them coming back to an empty house and doing this on their own, again, was horrible. Hopefully, after today, it wouldn’t happen again. And now that the storm was over, he could actually tell them what he had been planning on telling them before they had revealed their fear.
“H-hey. Uh…can we talk?” He started, slightly lessening his hold on them.
They peeked out of the blanket and nodded. “S-sure. I don’t know how much of a conversation we can have with me so flustered, but I’ll listen.”
He nodded and then continued. “So…there’s something I’ve been meaning to tell you.”
“Me?” They grew a little curious.
“Yeah, you.” He inhaled slowly and then exhaled. “I’ve…I’ve liked you. For a really long time.”
They froze and then looked at him in the eye while very quickly turning pink. “R-really?”
“Yeah. Like…since I first saw you if I’m being honest.”
Thy blinked at him and let the blanket fall off their head. “A-are you serious?”
He frowned at having to repeat himself again. “Yes. I am serious.”
They’d fall silent for a while, and he’d end up looking away from them. “If…If that makes you uncomfortable, I can go.”
He stood up, fully prepared to leave and forget about what he just said. But then a hand shot out from the blanket and grabbed his wrist like he had done earlier. “No! I mean…no. It’s just unexpected is all.”
They looked up at him and tried to pull him back onto the couch, their face beet red. “I know I’m a little out of sorts right now. But…I can honestly say the same. I like you too.”
They did their best not to hide when they said that, but they couldn’t meet his eyes. He didn’t care. His heart was pumping wildly upon hearing what they said. Possessed by the moment he leaned forward, pulled the blanket back, and pressed a kiss to their forehead. A small hum of surprise came from them, but that was about it. When they finally worked up the courage, they stopped hiding and looked at him again.
He was faced away from them and almost as dark red as they were. A small chuckle left them. Coming down from the fear they had felt led them to being a bit braver than usual. So they reached over and turned his head toward them. Right before pressing a kiss to his mouth.
This time he was the one who was surprised. But he grinned at them all the same. They knew they didn’t know each other that well outside their crushes. But they were willing to get to know each other. Especially after they realized that Gladio was the kind of person to sit with someone when they’re afraid. And Gladio was drawn to their quiet demeanor, and felt the need to just…be there for them. And for each person, they looked forward to discovering what they could about one another.
