Hey hey, may I ask for a matchup? I’m 5’4” tall, have long brown hair, brown eyes and kinda chubby. I have a big mouth and an opinion on everything, yet I manage to get along with everybody. My hobbies are anything involving art and culture, like visiting galleries, museums or theaters or creating art myself. Eventhough I like to go out with my frinds I enjoy staing home just as much. I love camping and summer! But I love wasting time inside playing videogames just as much. Thanks in advance!

I match you with Prompto!

Hearing what you have to say is something he’d enjoy. He often struggles with speaking his mind, choosing to his his actual opinions behind jokes and smiles. So he’d appreciate someone who just says what they think. Going to museums and galleries is something both of you would do in your free time. I can imagine that most of your dates would end up being unplanned, with you both just sort of wandering into one together and enjoying yourselves.

Camping is something he’s not really a fan of, but the shots he can get of the sky and pictures of the campfire are too pretty to pass up. (Along with you lit up by the fire light. He’d enjoy going just for shots of you with a smile on your face.) And video games? Competition between you too all the time. But a fun one.

(1/2) Hi! Could I request a match up? I’m a cis straight woman w/ blonde hair (short bob) blue eyes, 5’3. INFP. quiet around people but more animated with friends. Try to be polite. Kind. Will go along with that others think most of the time. Stubborn and persistent at times but a bit sensitive. Lacks confidence sometimes. Bad habit of cursing. Loud crowds give me headaches easily and make me a bit nervous. Love video games, rpgs especially, music, baking (which I am pretty damn good at!), and

I match you with Ignis!

He’d pick up on how you tend to go with whatever everyone else thinks, and make it a point to ask what your input is. Your persistence is something he’d admire, and he’d want to protect how sensitive you are. He’d also make it a point to call you sweet nicknames like ‘dearheart’ or ‘love’, if he ever felt you lacking confidence in yourself. He’d just want you to know that no matter what you felt that you were valued by him dearly.

It’d actually be kind of fun to cuss around him, because he’d just get this #look on his face that was a mixture of exasperation and amusement. Crowds are something you both don’t like dealing with, and he’d make it a point to avoid them where possible. Baking is something you’d probably enjoy doing together, and with soft music playing in the back ground, it’d almost feel like a date. Computers are actually one of the very few areas he lack skill in, and he’d probably request your help in figuring things out should the need arise to use one.

I’m 5’3”, jet black pixie cut hair, dark beige skin and chubby (especially the cheeks and hands). I love and hate puns, sleep very late (like 3am late), observant and pessimistic. I stay at home all the time. I love cats and has multiple animal plushies to hug. I’m a tomboy and I like to watch things get bloody, like fish guts and open wounds. I will laugh at anything from corny jokes to hiding my guilt and pain. I hope it’s not too long for a matchup, I’m new and have a nice day!~

I match you with Noctis!

Sleeping late would be something he’d enjoy. Like almost too much. The puns would wear on his nerves, but he’d find it amusing that you enjoy them. Taking you fishing would be something he’d like to do, if he can get you to come with. He’d understand the need to laugh it hide guilt and pain, since he hides his behind sarcasm and eye rolls.

Could I get a matchup, if you aren’t too busy? I’m rather introverted and shy, the minor social anxiety doesn’t help either. Someone mistook me for a mute back in middle school, to give you an idea. Yet, when I’m close enough to a person, I’ll get more chatty about topics I enjoy. When really close, I’ll wind up subconsciously cuddly and actively affectionate, but I rarely touch people below that threshold. Also, I tend to draw nature, but I will draw anyone close. That’s classified, though.

I match you with Noctis!

He’s quiet by nature as well, and would understand the need to stay quiet in social situations. And he’d be the one patient enough to wait for you to say something to him. (But if you never chose to, that’d be fine as well.) Assuming you did, I can imagine that cuddling and affection wouldn’t be something he’d mind at all. As matter of fact, he’d probably subconsciously encourage it by returning your affections and drawing you close the second you did reach for him. He likes seeing your drawings of nature, but will always wonder what else you’re drawing in there. He won’t pry though.

Can I get a match up? I’m 5’7 high, brown eyes and hair. I would say I’m too stubborn to my own good, independent, likes to be in center of attention but I’m not a peoples person and quite egoistic. I like to be outside and be active. I’m sosialy awkward and have some trouble trusting the people that stand close to me, I don’t want to be a bother to them. I value my alone time listening to music and being in my own boble. (I always read your work when I go to bed and I love it <3)

I match you with Gladiolus!

Differences aside, you’d bond over being active. He’s as stubborn as the next guy, and it’s just be a matter of outlasting each other should you ever argue over something. (Which, it’s quickly turn into a battle of patience, which would give you both time to cool your heads.) Being independent is something you both are, and it’s be nice not to have to watch over his should for you. Though, secretly he still would, because he really likes knowing you’re safe and does want to take care of you. TBH this would probably, if you found out, make you feel valued. Because his attention is never going to stray very far from you.

He’s good at reading body language, and would be able to tell if he was standing too close to you for you to be comfortable. And though he’d try to reassure you that you’re not a bother, he’d still step away to make sure you had enough space. And being in your own bubble would work for him sometimes, as you’d both slip into your own worlds. You into your music, and him into the pages of his books.

Uggh love your blog! Can I have a matchup? I’m 5’2” tall, red hair and green eyes if thats relevant?? I’m very extroverted with my friends but I also have my melancholy moments, when I need to charge up my social skills and be alone. I love food, animals and also I make really bad puns. :>

Without a doubt, I match you with Prompto.

I know that seems like the obvious choice, but it’s also what I can picture being the healthiest. You’d be that couple that just ‘gets’ each other. Prompto probably deals with his own melancholy moments as well, and would know when to spend time with you, and know when he’d need to just let you work through it on your own. (Though it would kill him not seeing your smile.) You and him are probably animal magnets. Animals tend to gravitate towards kind-hearted people, and with both of you in one place, I can imagine that there’s be more than one cuddly creature wanting to meet you both. But the puns? Oh geez, he’d make a big show of not enjoying them, but you just know he’s struggling not to laugh.

Hey :D I was wondering if I could get a match up with one of the Chocobros please? I stand at five three with long brown hair and hazel eyes. I love art and I can spend hours curled up on the couch buried in my sketchbook. I love my friends and family and I will do anything to protect them. And also, I’m not afraid to tell it straight to my loved ones if they aren’t doing something right. However, I have a very vulnerable side and I want to feel protected and taken care of.

I match you with Gladio!

Mainly because of your similarities. While his top priority is going to be the prince, you’d end up being the most protected second to him. Plus, the fact you can speak what you mean will cut right through Gladio’s thoughts, because lets face it, he’s very introspective, and might need you to pull him out of his mind every once in a while. (Plus, if it ever feels like he’s letting his frustration get the better of him and taking it out on the others, you’d be able to call that out unflinchingly.)

Seeing you draw would be a treat for him, watching the lines and strokes you make on paper would be breathtaking to him as they take shape. Though, most often I think it’d be him reading while you draw. But it wouldn’t be surprising if he wasn’t actually reading, but watching you out of the corner of his eye to see what you’re bringing to life this time.

Seeing you protect others just as fiercely as he does will give him a peace of mind that few other things can. Someone watching his back as much as he watches theirs. However, even when he isn’t supposed to, he’d definitely give you priority over Noctis if you were in IMMEDIATE danger. Plus, he’s going to want to make sure you are safe and comfortable no matter what outside of dangerous situations.

The reader is a servant of the Royal Lucis family and she discovers she’s related to Noctis despite believing she was from another region. Noctis reacts and takes her under his wing.

You sat in a chair outside the kings throne room, waiting to be brought before him. Carefully, you inhale and exhale in controlled counts. In…1…2…3… Out…1…2..3… But it does nothing to get the icy feeling of fear to leave you. Rather, it makes it worse. The second you stop counting, you know you’ll panic. Maybe even try to run. Heavens know you’ve thought about it ever since the king’s shield PERSONALLY brought you to this chair and sat you down. And your mind had been forming an escape plan ever since because of it.

You’re fast. Faster than most. Plus, you know the citadel almost as well as the royal family since you’ve been a servant here since you were a child. You know the ins and outs of the place, and could make a bee line for that one window with the lose hinges. Far up from the ground for a regular servant but, as you’ve discovered, not for you. No one could catch you, you think, especially if you…

You cast the though from your head as soon as it enters. Warping is what got you here in the first place. You’d fallen from that very same window and, in a moment of panic, reached for something deep inside you that you’d never noticed before. And it was just by chance your pocket knife fell from your pocket when it did, reaching the ground before you did and giving you a focus point…

You’d felt like your whole body blinked, and found yourself laying on the ground. Of course, you’d felt sick immediately after. Something that was very common after warping you’d heard. However, you didn’t get a chance to recover. The palace staff converged on you, scraping you off the ground and rushing you inside. There, you were sat on the floor as one of the Kingsglaive rushed off to alert the adviser, shield, and king of what had just occurred.

A servant had just warped. With no connection to the glaive, and no clear connection to the king. It hadn’t even been 10 minutes before you’d gotten to see the Shield’s intimidating form stalking toward you, and ordering you to follow.

Like you were going to argue with him.

From there, he explained that you were about to go before the king and his inner circle for a line of questioning. You had no idea what about, but your heart was in your throat none the less. You shuttered in your seat and clenched your eyes closed in an effort to steady yourself.

“It’s time. Rise and go into the chamber.”

You gasp in surprise, looking up into the face of one of your fellow servants. You didn’t even hear his approach. His face was grim and he would not meet your eyes. You couldn’t find it in yourself to speak, and only nodded, rising from your chair. He finally turned from the door he was meant to open for you, and looked you over.

“Square your shoulders, and hold your head up.” he said quietly, “Only the guilty won’t meet the gaze of the king.”

“The guilty? But I didn’t…”

He raised his hand for you to be quiet, and shook his head. “I shouldn’t be telling you this, but they’re set up for a trial it looks like. I don’t know what happened, but I’m telling you. Look the king in the eye when you tell your side. The guilty won’t met his eyes.”

“…why?” you whispered as he went to the door to pull it open.

He shrugged helplessly, and pushed open the door, holding himself prim and proper as it swung open, going back to ignoring you.

“The one in question will now speak.” The adviser said, and you took a deep breath, trusting yourself to truth. You did as the other servant advised, and stood a bit straighter, compared to the shrunken appearance of before.

“Please, explain from your point of view what occurred this afternoon.” The adviser began, speaking for the king.

You nodded and directed your answers at the king. You gave as much detail as you could, and then described the sudden blinking feeling. After which they asked where you were from. You said Galahd, as that was where your mother had said she originated. When they asked your name, and then hers, a murmur of surprise and shock went through the crowd, and they then asked if you’d known your grandmother’s name.

And once you gave it, concern rippled through the room.

You only caught whispers, but there was something about a missing maid? (Or was it mistress…You’re certain you;d misheard that.) You’d known that your grandmother was a servant here once. And your mother sent you back here because of it after…after she passed in Galahd. Eventually, someone said that you’d have to stay here until something could be investigated, and you were taken to one of the guest rooms on the royal floor.

This…was worrying.

~

Time passed slowly in the room. And though everything you’d ever want was there, you felt as if you couldn’t touch it. It wasn’t for you, you were a servant. So you sat on the floor near the door of the room. Once this whole misunderstanding was cleared up, you’d like to keep your job. Which meant sitting on the floor so you didn’t mess anything up.

And you swear, you definitely were not crying. Why would you need to? There was nothing wrong. But tears fell down your cheeks anyways. You were afraid. Just what had you done wrong? Perhaps the crystal had taken pity on you and saved you, and there was no other explanation. You were not a glaive, and certainly not royal, but…

You knew that the moment you warped, you became a person of interest to the crown. And persons of interest often never got their normal life back.

You were crying in earnest at this point, and didn’t notice the door to the room open.

“Hello?” A soft voice called, and you curled into yourself, hoping that if you just stayed behind the door, they wouldn’t notice you.

The door swung open further and you watched over your knees to see who it was. His back was to you, but you felt despair rise up in your chest and buried your face in your knees again. That black hair was unmistakable. The prince was about to see your face after you’d just gotten done crying. Great.

“Noct? I don’t think anyone’s in here.” Called another voice from the doorway, who you mentally cursed twice in your head. Because you could hear the prince turn around to address the speaker.

“I swear, I heard someone cry…Uh…” You could only guess that he gestured to you, and that the other guy must have taken a look behind the door. Because there was a yelp of surprise and on the other side of the door you swear you heard him fall over. Which surprised you enough to look up and meet the prince’s concerned and slightly panicked face.

Well shit. This was awkward.

You rubbed at your eyes hurriedly, even though you knew it was no good trying to hide your tears.

“Apologies, your highness,” you began, “I didn’t mean to disturb you and your friend’s day.”

“N-no. It’s fine. I’m just…” He turned away and as practically pleading with his eyes for the blond haired one to help him.

“Are you alright?” the blond flat out asked, after peeking at you from the other side of the door. He still hadn’t gotten off the floor.

“I’m fine.” You said, and flashed a half-hearted smile. “But you shouldn’t be here.”

The blond one glanced at Noctis, who was still just as confused as before. You continued, hoping to scare him away and leave you alone. “I’m being investigated by your father for something. You really shouldn’t be here”

At that, a panicked look flashed across both their faces and you buried your own back into your knees. But to your surprise, when you heard the door close, instead of being alone the two boys sat beside you.

“Weelll…You’re in the royal guest wing, so that means you’re not considered dangerous.” Noctis began.

The one beside him continued. “Besides! If you WERE dangerous, you’d have guards around. There’s no guards near here!”

“And your point?” You asked quietly, wanting to be left to your misery.

“Point being, what’s wrong.” Noctis asked, nudging you with his shoulder.

You sniffled and then muttered the cursed words into your knees. “I fell out a window, which should have killed me.”

“That’s…geez, okay, so you’re crying tears of relief? I’d be if that happened to me.” The blond said, trying to draw a bit more out of you.

You shook your head. “No.”

“So….what are they investigating something like that for.” Noctis asked.

In annoyance, you looked over at him and looked him in the eye. “I only lived because I warped.”

Then you burrowed your head back into your knees, and hoped to stay curled up. What you were not expecting was the sudden burst of energy from the two beside you.

“What?!” The blond jumped to his feet and pulled you up as well after grabbing your wrists. “Are you part of the Kingsglaive? But you’re our age!”

Noctis had stood up in just pure surprise. You had to pry your wrists from the blond and drew them back to yourself.

“N-no. I’m not Kingsglaive.” You looked between the two of them, just talking to them as if you were all normal teens. “It just…happened. I’m just a servant you see.”

They looked at each other, and you could tell were about to ask a million and a half questions, but then there was a knock at the door. They both paled, and you ended up shoving them behind the door where you had been sitting. After gesturing for them to be quiet, you walked over and answered the door, slipping into your professional demeanor….or, as best you could with tears stains running down your face.

“Yes?”

“If you could follow me back to the council room, we have a few things we need to explain. Excuse our harsh behavior from earlier.”

“W-what?” You dared a glance behind the door at the two standing there as still as possible, before leaving the room. “Explain what…?”

You followed behind and shut the door behind you, keeping the prince’s and his friend’s presence secret.

~

You were returned to the room that night, and had actually been forced to climb into the bed and lay down. Or rather…your body had forced you to, due to passing out at the unexpected news. And now you were just laying in bed staring at the ceiling. Your mind still would not let you believe what the king had told you.

Your grandmother had been King Regis’ father’s mistress. And apparently, she went missing one night. And they had dug up the reason why. You mother had been the half sister of king Regis. A secret your grandmother wanted concealed from everyone. Which made you…

You were suddenly startled by the thud that came from the balcony.

You sat up and looked over with a frown. There was the prince and his friend, looking like they were climbing down from the balcony above yours. From the way the blond was kicking his legs, he was losing his grip on the stone above him. The prince was below him recovering from his own fall. You could see what was about to happen, and winced when the blond fell on top of the prince.

“Gracious Astrals…” You muttered as you got out of bed, noticing you were still dressed thankfully. You hurried over to them and helped them to their feet.

“Couldn’t you have come the normal way?” You asked in a whisper, as if you were afraid that you might be overheard.

The blond shrugged. “Noctis has a bed time.”

“Shut up Prompto.” The prince hissed, lightly smacking his arm.

You let yourself laugh. The prince really was just another teenager…

“Noctis?” A voice called out from the balcony above yours.

You turned and looked at the two with a raise eyebrow, as if asking why you shouldn’t give them away. They glanced at each other and grabbed you and darted into the hallway. You didn’t question it. You were just told that you were part royal, so going on the run with the prince might as well be a thing too.

“Honestly, Ignis has the six sense of a mother hen.” Noctis muttered as you all hurried down the hall.

“Just where are we going? And who’s Ignis?” you asked, willingly going along.

Prompto smiled, “He’s going to be Noct’s adviser…er….maybe both of yours?”

“So you’ve heard?” You asked, looking between them.

“Yeah, dad-I mean the king actually had me sit down with him and explained the situation. What a better way to introduce you to everyone than by sneaking around the palace right?”

“Uh…I don’t know.”

“Noctis, Prompto, you stay right there!” you heard the voice from earlier call, and both their eyes got wide when they saw who you assumed was Ignis at the end of the hall.

“Run for it!” Prompto yelped, and you all darted back the way you came.

“Prompto, you’re taking one for the team.” Noctis said suddenly.

“What?!”

“You have anything throwable on you?” he turned to ask as you both ran.

“Uh…a pen?” You reached into your front pocket and pulled one out. He in turn pulled out a small pocket knife.

“That’ll work. Throw it on the count of three. One…two…”

“Noct! no fair!”

“Three!”

You tossed it in the same direction as he threw the pocket knife and felt him latch onto your arm. Suddenly, the blinking feeling from before overwhelmed you and you found yourself pulled along with him to where your pen was. You got dizzy, but then he laughed upon hearing a shriek of fear from Prompto being caught by Ignis.

You had to admit, this was kind of entertaining.

Noctis pulled you along, and you quickened your steps. You were really surprised to see a rather large smile on his face.

“Prince Noctis?”

“You don’t have to call me that.” He looked at you and was practically bouncing up and down in excitement. “We’re family. The fact I was able to warp with you proves it.’

“Huh?”

“When you warp, you can’t take anyone with you, unless they already have the ability to warp…But you’ll learn that.”

“Learn?”

“You’re related to royalty. Did you think that doesn’t mean anything?”

You stopped where you were and frowned. “I…I just assumed that I might go back to my old job honestly….”

He shook his head, also stopping. “According to dad, you’re going to start lessons along side me.”

“Lessons? Like…” You could hear Ignis, who was currently dragging a struggling Prompto along.

“Like warping on your own. Go!”

This time you followed Noctis with a laugh, and let him pull you into another warp to get away again.

~

As it turned out, Ignis was a lot nicer than Noctis had you believe. He was in charge of you both for now, until your own retainer could be found. There wasn’t a place for you at the court yet, but Regis had made sure that you felt welcome in the family. (Noctis made doubly sure.)

You both were in the same year of school, and at Noctis’ request you got to go to the same high school. Where he discovered that you were two years younger than him.

“This nerd skipped two grades.” He’d tease when offically introducing you to Ignis and Gladiolus.

It became obvious that after a few years, Noctis had begun to see you as a younger sibling instead of distant cousin.

In your lessons with Gladio, he always made sure he didn’t harm you. In your tutoring session with Ignis, he tried to make you less overwhelmed. And surprisingly, Iris was chosen to be your bodyguard, something that she enjoyed. It meant she got to be near her older brother and Noctis on a daily basis. You’d yet to find a retainer. Ignis was in charge of you both still, much to his horror.

All in all, it was a good life.

Noctis seemed to be thrilled with you around, and you didn’t ever voice it out loud, but you thought maybe it was because he didn’t have to worry about the future alone. Not anymore.

And you weren’t so worried either.

Boys with a crush on someone who looks very intimidating, but turns out to be very sweet person :)

(I actually had to look up the meaning and synonyms of the word intimidate to see how much I could get away with in this. I was trying to think of different ways someone could be intimidating. xD)

Noctis:

His crush had started in high school.

They always had the same expression on their face. No matter what anyone did. It was always a look of disdain, anger, or disgust, he could never be sure which. They never spoke either. It was kind of scary. And they fact that when they walked the halls, they did not just jump out of the way like most people did for him. No rather they’d stare him down until he moved an equal amount for them to both walk through the hall. Honestly, their presence in a room was very commanding, and almost screamed for everyone to just LEAVE THEM ALONE.

He was smitten though. His friends questioned this when they found out of course. And all of them asked why them. Was it was their eyes? The graceful way they held themself? Maybe their calm and cool demenor? No matter what they’d ask, he’d always say no. And the answer, when he finally gave one, surprised them.

It was their smile.

He’d only ever seen it once, but that was all it took. It was when he was passing through a park, on one of the very rare occasions he’d ventured out alone without telling someone. He’d happened to hear a dog barking and happened to look over to when the source of the sound came from. To his surprise, there they were. Chasing after a dog and smiling to themself. He didn’t want to bother them and ruin the moment, so he left them alone and went home. But the smile stuck with him.

Eventually, he worked up the nerve to sit near them and start up a conversation. His brain stalled at the startled expression on their face, and the soft kind voice that came from them. They were very animated he realized, as expression after expression crossed their face. And then they frowned, which was actually more of a pout, when he said that they always looked angry.

“What? No! I’m not always angry. I just always have my face relaxed.” As if to make a point they relaxed their face and their usual expression fell into place. It clicked in his head then that they just had a naturally grumpy neutral expression, and laughed.

It was the start of another wonderful friendship. (And their smile still made his heart skip a beat.)

Prompto:

He only ever saw them when he went for his run. It was almost habit. It’d been years since they’d first saw each other, and there was something of a silent respect between them. When he’d first started running, other runners would sometimes stop to help him correct his form, or the encourage him. A lot of his social skill were learned from all these bright runners, who rose and ran at the crack of dawn and evening’s twilight.

But they? They never stopped for anyone. Those who tried to help them, and those who needed help. it didn’t matter. They were so focused on themself they just didn’t have time to get to know the others. They were cold. Distant. Anti-social. And they ran like the devil was at their heels. He couldn’t help but admire them, even if he knew they’d never look his way. But the others? They worried endlessly for someone so isolated and focused. Any attempts at talking with them was often met with cool silence.

Through the years, very few facts about them had been revealed. They started running around the same time he did was one of the few he was aware of. They were fast, frighteningly so, was another. And as if to make it a point, they’d try and pass everyone at least twice on the run around the park. (And they often succeeded.)

However, one day, Prompto, in a rare fit of confidence, wanted to prove himself to this person he’d admired for so long. And so, when he heard their telltale foot steps behind him, he ran faster. And when they sped up to try and run past him again, he once again increased his pace. Soon, they were both full on sprinting around the park. When they did managed to catch up to him, pacing it just so they were running side by side, a wild grin lit up their face as they both pressed on.

At the end of their run, they turned and offered their hand to him, introducing themselves at last. As he’d get to know them, he’d find out that their attitude and demeanor wasn’t meant as a slight, but rather that they just couldn’t afford to lose focus of their footing. Revealing very poor health that doctors had said would result in them being sickly all their life, they had actually rebelled against that idea. Running was their freedom. And Prompto was very happy to learn that their personality was just as bubbly as his.

Gladiolus:

Damn, they looked like they could kill a man. (And have probably.) They were someone important around the Citadel he could tell. The way they carried themself, they had to be a Marshall, Crownsguard, or Glaive. But he could never peg them for what they were. They gave nothing away. Their face was always polished smooth, like stone. Even in the middle of battle. But there were many people like that here. Heck, he was one of them.

What made them intimidating was their allure.

Something about them drew the eye. Screamed ‘look at me’. They were dangerously charming, and without effort. More than once, he’d seen someone stop in their tracks upon meeting their gaze, or even the most practiced speaker stumbling over their words upon making eye contact. And when they spoke, people listened. And there was never room for anyone to argue, not that they wanted to.

But this polished image, he should have guessed it was wearing on them. The day he rounds a corner in the citadel, and finds someone crashing into him, he’s deeply surprised to see the look on their face. Like they were lost. And he doesn’t even bother asking if they’re okay, not because he’s tongue tied, but because he recognizes the signs of someone about to break. He guides them away from everyone, to an area where he knows no one goes.

They explain that they’re in training to be a negotiator, and they have to be flawless and perfect, and charming, and they’re actually very scared and can’t even fight and- He has to cut them off and clam them down. It was actually a large surprise that the intimidating person that he liked actually had the personality of a bunny. But it was endearing. So he’d offer his shoulder for them to lean on, and they trusted him enough to be themselves.

(He does, eventually, actually call them bunny to their face.)

Ignis:

Even though Ignis wasn’t usually one to be intimidated by anyone, this person managed it. How? They could vanish. Not really, but it seemed like it. They’d be standing next to you one second, and then gone the next. It was unnerving. Plus, they were quiet. Like a ghost almost. A lot of people thought they were kind of creepy because of it. They worked in the library, and would often be seen re-shelving books quietly and sticking to themselves generally.

It would be when he encounters them outside of the library that he finds himself more than a little take with them. They, shockingly enough, live in the same apartment building. And when a small cat makes an appearance in his own apartment via the window, he’s a bit lost at what to do. It’s small, not quiet a kitten, but not a full grown cat either.

That’s when he hears a small voice calling for a cat. He sticks his head out the window and then actually end up talking like that for a bit before they realize that it’s silly to be speaking from the windows. He scoops up the cat and takes it back to them, and that’s that. But it’s not. Because soon after, cans of ebony would somehow find their way into his things at work, and no one ever sees who it was.

And he finds the gesture very sweet of them, despite their ghostly act.

(He’d never admit to leaving his windows open on purpose for the small cat to clamber though just so he’d have an excuse to talk to them and thank them.)

The boys’ reaction to their s/o playfully braiding bits of their hair? (Since the boys tend to have fairly long hair– more or less) ovo/ (Or, just playing with their hair in general– you pick!)

Noctis:

He’d be asleep when it first happens, and not notice the many small braids until someone points it out to him after they get out of the car to all stretch their legs.

The braids would be small and precise. Almost unnoticeable until you were standing right next to him.

He’d track down his S/O and wrap his arms around them from behind, and rest his chin on their head.

They’d let him hem and haw, playfully complaining about the braids. They’d tell him to shush and say it was for falling asleep on their lap in the car. “My legs fell asleep because of you.”

He wouldn’t really mind. In fact, he’d actually be a little surprise in the amount of work the small braids must have taken.

His S/O would never admit it, but his hair was so fine and soft that wrangling the soft strands into the braids had been super difficult. (Not to mention that his hair had barely been long enough.)

They would then get back into the car and Noctis would soon be laying right back where he was. But this time, though his eyes were closed he was awake. The feeling of their hands in his hair would relax him so much, and this time he would get to enjoy the feeling.

(Though he’d despise how WAVY his hair would be when they’d take out the braids. His S/O would think it’s adorable.)

Prompto:

Like a fussy toddler, he’d not sit STILL long enough to actually finish any of the braids. So his S/O would have to settle for just playing with the strands and twisting them.

His hair would be surprisingly thick to the touch, and he wouldn’t really notice them playing with his hair. (His mind would be watching the landscape around them, or deeply invested in his thoughts.)

His S/O would be so used to having him suddenly move, that their hands become well practiced with feather light touches and pulling their hand just far enough away when he turns his head they don’t accidentally startle him by pulling his hair.

It’d be hilarious to his S/O the day they see him take a selfie, and get the most confused expression on his face when he sees the small beginning of a crown of twisted hair.

They’d make it a game then to see just how much they could alter his hair without him noticing.

He’d eventually catch them, and laugh alongside them at how he’d never noticed them playing with his hair.

Gladiolus:

This would be something he’d be used to after growing up with a younger sibling.

At the first feeling of fingers in his hair, a soft smile would cross his face when he’d look up at his S/O and indulge them.

His S/O would be one of those people that needs their hands busy in order to relax. He on the other hand, just finds the feeling of their fingers in his hair pleasantly relaxing as well. And it’d soon become habit for them at the end of their day to do this with each other.

Sometimes, if they’re on a long car ride together, the braids will also make and appearance because of boredom.

He’d be the one to leave the braids in his hair, finding that it actually keeps his hair off his face better than just styling it backwards.

(Perhaps this is the reason he grows his hair out.)

Ignis:

Imagine his surprise when one day, on the rare chance he drifts off before everyone, he wakes up with his hair in little loosely braided strands. He’s a normally light sleeper, so not waking to someone touching his hair would deeply surprise him.

He’d wonder who, but then realize that the only one closest to him is his S/O, which he’d look at fondly while they slept.

Before they awoke as well, he’d undo the braids in his hair, and manage to get the most of the waves caused by the braids under control. But even with him managing to get his hair into it’s normally style, it’s a lot fluffier than normal.

Actions have meaning with him, so the fact they took the time to place braids in his hair, even if it was just them paying with it, would mean a lot.

As a small form of ‘revenge’, he’d place the tiniest braid in their hair before they woke as well, which when they did wake, they’d leave in the rest of the day.
