Story between reader and Ignis. She’s known the guys for ages and is invited to a camp gathering and becomes upset due to her years long crush on Igis and fears rejection due to his duties and lack of interaction so she leaves mid way in secret and sits on a high rock crying and having anxiety but she’s found by her crush himself.

(Righto! Second story ever using second person. :D….TBH this
ended up being a character study on…well, you the reader. Pfft. WILL ALSO BE A TWO PARTER! D: It’s been forever since I’ve been able to write guys, and I’ll hopefully have the second part done soon. I hope this is alright!)

It’d been a long time since you’d last seen them all. Since
before Insomnia fell to be exact. So, the invite was welcome when it’d come. A
night out with the boys at the camp site, just for friends to catch up. You
were going of course, being one of the unfortunately few survivors that got out
of Insomnia. Iris and Jared, along with Talcott, were also going. A few people
from Hammerhead were coming out as well.

It would be a small affair, but one that meant a lot to you.
You saw it as a signal that things would return to normal.  After all, it wasn’t easy being the last
living member of your family. And everything you’d owned had been left in your
fallen city. A gathering of friends was just the change of pace you needed. A
night to forget about the problems being a refugee presented.

You’d been staying with Iris for the past few months, just
until you saved enough working in Lestallum to get your own apartment. Even
though Jared had assured you that you’d be welcome to stay with them if you’d
like, it didn’t feel right. They’d done enough when they had taken you out of
the city with them.

You were lucky.

You’d been Iris’ tutor in some of the subjects she was
struggling with in her high school classes. You had been going to the
university at the time, and welcomed the Amicitia’s offer of a part time job as
her tutor. Your mothers had been friends and that day, it had saved your life.

The attack happened during one of your sessions. Your mother
had been in the next room speaking with hers. It happened so fast, and both
your parents rose to protect their children. You, being of a lower name, had
been told to escort her away and OUT of the city. It had been hell, and you’d
had to cut through most of the chaos to reach the gates. Of course, it was
later, when you’d reached the city of lights, that you’d been informed of your
family’s passing.

Normal would be welcome.

You moved across your room and grabbed your jacket, carrying
it in your arms rather than put it on. It was too warm in the city, but you
figure that if you were going to be outside city limits until morning, you’d
better have it with you. Iris and the other had already gone ahead with
everything else you needed. You’d have gone with them, but the shop you worked part time in needed you to stay for a bit longer than usual. Not that it mattered. You
could still make it before the sun was completely down.

You left the room and descended the stairs, waving at the
hotel clerk as you left through the doors. As you headed to where you had last
parked, you greeted everyone and chatted as you went. It had become habit, and
though you found being greeted so warmly by strangers’ odd at first, it quickly
became a part of why you loved the city.

A small smile crossed your face as you reached the parking
lot and slipped on your jacket. Both hands found their way into your pocket,
one pulling out a pair of shaded goggles, the other pulling out your keys. You
couldn’t wait to see the boy’s reaction to what you had managed to buy, and then
get working.

Without further ado, you lifted your leg over the motorcycle
and took your seat. The engine started easily enough, and you gunned it out of
the lot, flying down the road faster than what any car could do. Or that’s what
it felt like anyways. You gauged the sun and then mapped out your route in your
head, speeding up.

You’d make it.

~

You did not make it.

Night had fallen quicker than you’d anticipated, and you
cursed your luck as you turned on your headlight. It was bright enough to light
your way, and you were certain your bike was quick enough to avoid any major
trouble. But it still made your heart beat a little faster with worry. You’d
taken off your sunglasses and returned them to your pocket so you could see a
bit better, but it was still too dark to see much beyond the headlight. You
could see the lights from the camp site ahead of you though, so you relaxed a
bit.

And thankfully the Astrals must have been smiling at you,
because you got the rest of the way unharmed. As soon as the engine was cut,
you quickly hopped up into the haven and dusted off your jacket. However, right
as you were about to greet everyone, you found yourself wrapped in a pair of
arms and tightly squeezed.

“You’re late!!” Iris squeaked, lifting you off the ground. An
Amicitia through and through, the girl had more than enough muscle to manage
that and squeeze the life out of you while she did it.

You wheezed and lightly kicked your feet. “S-sorry! Sun went
down quicker than I thought it would!”

Your arms found hers and you tried to pry her off once she
set you down. But it was hopeless as Talcott rushed the other side of you and
wrapped his around you as well, excitedly babbling about his day. Normal for a
boy his age, and hearing him set you at ease. Though you didn’t want to admit
it, you all were very attached to each other. Having lived together for the
past few month, and being survivors of the mess in Insomnia, had made you all
closer than friends. Family would have been the word to describe your
relationships with them, if the word didn’t hurt so much to think about.

“We called the hotel and they said you had left two hours
ago. We thought…” He said, a slight waver in his voice calling you back to the
present.

You sighed heavily and draped your arm over him, “I’m
alright. I would have called to let you know where I was, but didn’t dare to
once the sun went down.”

Iris squeezed you tighter for a second and then let go.
Talcott on the other hand held on. But you didn’t mind. Instead you walked
beside him as he led you to Jared, who subtly fussed over you as well. At least
he trusted your skills enough to get there unscathed. It was only after all
three had ensured you were unharmed that you could go and join the small
gathering at the campfire.

Instead of saying hi, you just plopped down in an open spot
and grinned at everyone. You had taken Iris’ spot, which no one noticed until
Iris made Gladiolus scoot over. It was only then that everyone’s eyes slowly
slid over to you and you smiled.

“Long time no see fellas.”

“Holy shit you made it.” Noctis said.

Prompto responded by lightly smacking him in the back of the
head. “At least say hi first Noct!”

“I did!”

The two proceeded to bicker back and forth, forgetting you
were there for a moment. Which was fine. Sunshine and the prince always were
easily distracted. You were used to waiting for their attention. However, you
weren’t expecting the voice that spoke next to affect you so much.

“What he meant was, it’s great to see you again.” Ignis
said, softly smiling.

You grinned and tried to brush off the sudden feeling of
breathlessness. “Likewise.”

You’d assumed that after the trauma of Insomnia, and the
ordeals you’d been through since then, that the feelings you’d held for Ignis
would have dissipated. Most other childish notions had. You were an adult in
full now, and adults didn’t get crushes. Or so you told yourself. But clearly,
by just your reaction to hearing his voice, you still liked him.

You cleared your throat after an almost unnoticeable pause
and looked across to Glaido and his sister. “I thought there were others supposed to be here?”

The shield nodded and said, “There were. But they couldn’t
make it this time. Maybe next time when we all get together.”

“And next time, we’re all staying in the hotel!” Prompto
called before getting distracted again.

You looked over to him and blinked in surprise, as he and Noctis were
busy grappling back and forth where they were seated. They were doing their
best to annoy each other by pushing and jabbing the other when they weren’t
expecting it. It was mildly entertaining seeing the two. Prompto managed to get
Noctis moving, while at the same time the prince managed to get the flighty
blond to calm down…Well, calm down as in stay in one place.

“They…always at each other like that?” you said with a
chuckle.

Ignis chuckled as well, noticing what was going on, “Unfortunately.
It gets old after a while.”

“I can imagine. God, the car rides must be terrible.” You
teased, loud enough to get the other’s attention.

“We -ow- We’re not that bad.” Noctis grumbled, trying to
protect the side of his ribs where Prompto had just jabbed.

Ignis looked at you with a raised eyebrow, as if asking ‘See what I put up with?’

And you laughed.

Somewhere in the heart of you, you knew it hadn’t been a
crush at all. It had been a seed and somewhere along the line, it had bloomed
into love. But if you still called it a crush, you’d hoped the feelings would
fall away. Or at least make it easy to suppress. Because unfortunately, just
the feeling of your returning crush was enough to tip you backwards into the
past. It made you nostalgic. Just hearing his voice took you back to Insomnia.
To memories you simultaneously treasured and wanted to forget. There was a knot
in your throat that you barely managed to swallow down, and you yawned to cover
up the burning you felt in your eyes.

You still had not dealt with your grief. You didn’t know how
to.

Gladio whistled lowly at what Iris had said and caught your
attention, pulling you out of your thoughts before you wound up crying in front
of everyone thankfully. Iris was talking about what life had been like, and
what you had been up to in Lestallum. Hearing your current life grounded you
back in the present. You let her speak for you, not fully trusting your voice yet,
only correcting small details when you had to.

“-sometimes when she’s getting back from a hunt, she’d so
banged up we don’t let her near her bike for a week!” Iris finished, and you
gave an embarrassed laugh, finally joining back in the conversation.

“That’s only happened twice.” You countered, trying to keep
your face from turning red.

“And counting.” Talcott added with an innocent smile.

“Hey!”

“Bike?” Prompto frowned, cutting in. “Bike as in…?”

You coughed and turned away, not meeting anyone’s gaze as
you replied. “Motorcycle.”

“Aren’t those kind of…” Prompto said with a concerned look
on his face, “…dangerous?”

“It got me here didn’t it? And what isn’t dangerous these
days?” You laughed it off, playing it as a joke, and everyone, thankfully, let
it slide, returning to brighter topics.

You knew the risks of riding a motorcycle. Considered dangerous
for their lack of protection in the case that their riders should wreck. (You’d
experienced that first hand plenty of times while learning.) Also, the high
speeds one could attain on one was also many peoples concern. And that was inside
a brightly lit city. Outside the city? Easy pickings for a Daemon. What you’d
run into a lot of was people worried for your health, both mental and physical,
for choosing to ride your bike. But the speed was worth it. You could drive
from Galdin Quay to Lestallum in half the time it’d take a car.

Plus, what was a little danger these days? Just by being a refugee from Insomnia you were always in a bit of danger.

You didn’t try jumping back into the conversation after that, becoming
muted once more. You simply sat back and enjoyed being with the others again. And the didn’t seem to notice. So you considered everything alright.
(But you couldn’t shake the feeling that someone was staring at you. And if you
had happened to look to your left, you’d have seen a pair of green eyes
watching you.)

Hi! Can i ask for a oneshot in which Gladio has to stay away for really long time because of work and is scared that his s/o might fall out of love with him or cheat on him. Plus he doesn’t really have time to reply to his s/o, even if they do send texts to him. A little bit of angst I suppose? His s/o wants to be sure he still loves them because he almost never texts or call them, because they DO love him? I hope this is clear ;;

((Tis clear enough my dear! Sort of went with a perspective shift and left the ending ambiguous.))

-Gladio-

He glared at the pages of the book when the lines go out of
focus for the fifth time that morning. This was starting to get on his nerves. With
a huff, he closes it and sets it beside him, leaning forward in his seat to
rest his head against the chair in front of him. He’d like to distract himself
from the long car ride with a book, but no. Instead his mind returns to the
phone in his pocket.

It was on silent, but he knew that by the time they stopped
for the night, there might be a text waiting for him to read. Maybe more if
they had a particularly exciting day. Or, even worse, there would be nothing. ‘They’
referring to the one he had been parted from by his responsibility.

They were a hunter they’d encountered at the Prairie Outpost,
and one that he’d ended up falling for. They’d first met when they volunteered
to take them to Cor at the ancient tomb after Insomnia fell. From there, Cor
suggested they could use an extra hand for the trip down into the second tomb
and then to Lestallum, and they’d agreed to go with them. Upon arriving, they’d
stayed when he’d invited them to, taking the four on hunts and showing them the
ins and outs of the trade upon realizing they had little idea of how to track
the creatures they’d be fighting.

Travelling together had worked for a time. And as time
passed, his feelings of comradery had taken a step toward attraction. Which was
mutual he soon discovered. And before they both had known it, three months had
passed with them fighting side by side. But their nature was capricious, and
they were used to going where the wind took them. (One of the things he loved
about them really.) So expecting them to stay with the group had been a foolish
expectation. That they had stayed for as long as they had was a miracle in
itself.

They’d left with only a note for him in their wake and an
apology text later that day.

And now? He was frustrated. Being on the road and watching
all their back’s didn’t really leave much time for him to take care of anything
else really. Even when he read, he was well aware of his surroundings.
Something he knew he wouldn’t be able to do if he was texting them. Because he
was worried about them. Truly. Working so closely with them had allowed him to
see their weaknesses, their gaps in their defense. Though he’d try to work on
those weaknesses with them, there was still a fear buzzing around in the back
of his mind that they’d slip up. And it’d be their tags he’d be forced to find
one day. His thought’s would revolve around them instead of keeping the prince
safe.

But lately, it was bordering on the
fourth month after their departure, he worried of another thing all together.
They’d used to text him almost every hour if they could. A status update he’d
appreciated at the time. He’d leave it on read until they stopped for the night
and he could message them his own update. And they’d make time to call one
another at least once a week. However, they soon found out neither really had
the time, or the energy really, to keep up with one another so far apart.                                                                                                                  He
was always on the move and needed his rest. And with them being on their own,
they’d always needed to keep an eye on their own back to make sure they were
safe. There was no time for talking with one another.

But they’d at least text him
something every day. Or they used to. It was getting less and less frequent
now. Which brought him back to why he was distracted. The lack of contact. Did
it mean anything? Were they finally at the end of their relationship? Did they
even still think of him as he thought of them? He was too scared to ask. Not
only that, but he couldn’t figure out how to start the conversation in the
first place.

“We’re here.”

His head snapped up at Ignis’
voice, and he mentally cursed himself when he saw that the car was parked and
the others were already climbing out. Distracted. Exactly what he was afraid of
being when he thought about them. He pushed his hand through his hair as he got
out of the car, reorienting his thoughts for the coming hunt.

“Right…So what’re we after again?”
Prompto asked, yawning away the last dregs of sleep.

“Something big and ugly if I
recall.” Ignis said. His voice was deadpan as he began walking to where the
entrance to the Malmalam Thicket would be. “Come along then. The sooner this is
done the sooner we can get back to civilization.”

He said that last part as
motivation for the Prince to catch up with them. Something that made Gladio
snort and finally bring him fully back to the present. When they’re actually in
the thicket, his phone goes off. One glance at the screen tells him it’s them,
and he’s forced to press ignore even though them calling was rare. He missed
their voice. So to himself he promised he’d call them back once this is over. He
then turns off his phone so he wouldn’t be tempted to answer if they called
again.

~

On the other line, they brought
the phone down from their ear, and brush away the tears in their eyes quietly
when their call suddenly gets sent to voicemail. How they wished he’d answered.
They hung up on the call before leaving a message, and then leaned back against
the tree they sat against. Honestly, at that moment, they felt alone. Too
alone.

They knew that they’d been distant
lately. But they’d been working. Living from hunt to hunt wasn’t easy, no. But
lately, it was more of an honor thing among them all to take on more work.
Especially the higher ranks. Daemon specific hunts were getting more and more
common. High risk, low reward. But…none of them could turn their backs on those
hunts. Especially not Slayers and up.

Anyone who was a lower than rank 5
wasn’t allowed to go after daemons, which took away most of their numbers. Most
hunters, truthfully, only did hunts to supplement their income with their
earnings, having other jobs to fall back on. They made up the majority and most
of them were all lower ranks. Not like the others.

The others, like them, were often
people who wandered from place to place, living off successful hunts and going
hungry the nights they weren’t. They were often in the higher ranks, just from
the sheer amount of work they undertook. And they all were trying to stem the
daemons as much as they could. But the nights were getting longer and the
higher ranks were losing their lives at such a high rate, they would soon be
forced to revise who was allowed to go on hunts, and maybe even implement regulation
for the hunters to hunt in a group. It was that dangerous these days.

And this time they may have bitten
off more than they could chew themself.

With a groan they shifted into a
better position at the base of the tree, a large gash on their lower back
making moving difficult. They were cold, and they were tired. But…They owed it
to him to at least leave a message. Even…even if he didn’t feel for them what
they felt for him.

They hit the redial button on
their phone, and waited. They tried not to feel too hurt by the fact their call
went straight to voicemail this time, and waited for the recording to start.

“…” For the first few moments,
they could think of nothing to stay, and their sleepiness was catching up to
them. So they went with simple.

“Gladio. Hey,” They began, “So…I
miss you first off. And I know I’ve been busy…”

Into their message they explained
that they missed him, that they were unsure about what he felt. They questioned
if he saw them as a fling or not, stating that they didn’t. They had seen a
future with him, maybe not in great detail, but it was impossible to picture a
future without him. But they said it didn’t matter now. They explained their
recent absence from their texts. They explained the situation with the hunters.
And they explained their injury. They had to end the call after that, not
wanting to risk calling more attention to themself. It was, after all, the
middle of the night.

“…And…If you find my tags…Just know that I
love you.”

So tonight my friends, I’m not going to be able to post. I need to recharge a bit. XD I just got through with a ten day work week. I’ll be back tomorrow night though! So feel free to hit my ask box with a bunch of things.

May I please request headcanons of chocobros reacting when they find out there s/o is super smart (like zero effort, no studying, and they still ace tests with flying colors) and there s/o is super indifferent about it because of a tough upbringing by there parents to be “perfect”? Please and Thank you so very much.

Ended up being kind of meh. ._. I really have trouble with headcanons I think. Anyhow, set during the boy’s highschool days.

Noctis:

Perhaps he should have studied he’d think when seeing his grades. Ignis would not be pleased, and when his father heard about this, Ignis would make sure that he would, he just knew he was in for a lecture. He took comfort in the fact that his S/O didn’t study for any of this as well, and probably had the same…Wait, those were DEFINITELY NOT the same grades.

He’d grab the paper in their hand and scan it again, just to be sure that he wasn’t seeing things. Holy SIX how did they manage their grade point average when they didn’t do anything just like him? He’d ask them what was with their grades and they’d just shrug, a blank expression on their face.

He’d keep pestering them about it, because he’s a little on the panicky side about his own grades. They’d eventually admit that they’d assumed that he was in the same boat as them. He’d ask what that was and they’d just say pressure. Eventually, they’d finally give in to his questions.

“Honestly, that ‘B’ would have gotten me grounded as a child.” They’d start, and he’d fall silent as they described how they had been forced into a mold by their parents. They’d describe how they grew up needing to succeed, and were still terrified of failing. He’d comfort them as best as he could, but they’d act distant about it.

“It’s fine Noct, it’s in the past.”

He’d let it go then, and wouldn’t push. And suddenly he’d see the coming lecture in a different light and take his own grade more seriously.

Prompto:

Discipline is his middle name. Once he sets his mind to something, he’d achieve his goals through hard work and determination! But it was seriously starting to get to him to have his S/O literally NAPPING while he studied, and still get better grades than him.

So he asks their secret one day, and they, oddly enough, just smile and say, “A gift from my parents really.”

He wouldn’t get what they meant until one day he’d be passing by a classroom with them and their parents meeting with the teachers about a low B they had gotten. There were no raised voices, or even anger really. But just…resounding disappointment from their parent’s voices, and he could almost hear how defeated his S/O was when his parents asked the teacher to assign them extra work to offset the B.

From then on, he endeavors to get better grades, and then better grades than his S/O so he could help them with their homework. He understands that while they don’t really care about their grades, they don’t want to disappoint their parents. And that their motivation to do anything to do with school had shut down as a result of the stress.

Gladio;

He’d wonder why they were stressing so much about the test tomorrow. Like to the point where they, one of the most active people he knows, was sitting motionless on his couch. They always got EXCEPTIONAL grades. Like, Ignis would be jealous(And was sometimes). He was bumbling about the rest of the house, trying to figure out just how to get them back to normal somewhat, but nothing would work. He’d finally just flat out ask them what was wrong.

They’d say something about being scared of failing the test. And he’d be so confused, and just remind them as best he could that they had the BEST grades in their class, academically speaking. (He wasn’t always so good with people.) They’d agree with him, but you could tell they wouldn’t mean it.

It wouldn’t be until after their test, when they met their parents after school and handed them their 98% grade, an upper A by all means, and their parents asked why they hadn’t gotten a 100%, that he’d understand their stress. He’d be so freaking lost and basically make it a habit to kidnap them the day after tests to help them destress, comfort them, and remind them just HOW SMART they were.

Ignis:

Ignis would be the same way actually. He’d be one of those weird people, who’d just look at a paper, or equations, or reading passages, and just remember them. Due to his upbringing, he’d had to learn just how to be one of these people. So honestly, he’d be the most understanding of his S/O’s position.

Like, they both would be really low key about it too. He’d just one day notice that, hey, neither of us study. And we have to fight for the top spot in the class anyways. So, somehow, he decides to turn this into a game, to take the edge off of the stress and anxiety they both feel about their grades.

Whoever’s top of the class this month get’s a prize. And the prizes would range from silly to sweet things, or small to large things. A kiss from the loser to the winner. Maybe a date night planned by the loser. Maybe they’d have to cook dinner for a week for the winner as another prize. And it would work. They’d both still not study, but it’d be nice to have some fun when the test would come around, giving them both that extra push they’d need to recall more and improve their grade to their best they’ve ever been.

Now imagine their surprise when they’re both names top student one because they both got top marks.

Reaction/scenario with Ignis and his long time s/o when they find out that she’ll likely fall into a sort of coma soon enough that could last anywhere from weeks or months to tens of years. Maybe she tells him to go on with his life or something

owwwww

They’d know it was coming. Since they were children they knew. They were ill, and were not expected to recover.

He’d always wondered what the illness was as a child, as they’d sometimes disappear for weeks on end, and what the long term effects would be. But it wouldn’t be until they were teenagers that he’d find out.

They’d collapsed one day while with him, and wouldn’t wake. And it wouldn’t be until a month later, after one of his visits to their hospital room, that their parents had taken pity on him and told him what they suffered from.

It’s common name was just Sleep. In the old days, it had been something that could be inflicted on a person. They’d be powerless to stop it, and would’t wake without outside help. It was rare these days though, and the remedy(ha) to it had been lost to time. They’d been afflicted with it, and the times it took them to wake were getting longer and longer.

So when they were adult, and he’d been through two more of their sleep attacks, they both knew that the next time…They might not wake again.

Though, year later, there were enough cases of it to have developed tests to tell when they would fall into another sleep attack. And to both of their dismay, it was soon. And it’d be longer than any before it.

They’d pretend everything was normal at first. Go on with their lives, ignore the elephant in the room. But then…as the date drew nearer and near they’d be unable to pretend anymore.

“Ignis…I want you to go on without me.” They’d say out of the blue one day. They’d be sitting with each other in silence, enjoying their time together. But they wouldn’t be able to hide from the truth any longer. “Just…forget the sleeping person in the hospital room, and just live your life.”

Ignis would put down what he was doing, and look them dead in the eye. It’d be such an intense stare they’d look away, unable to hold his gaze for long.

“No. And don’t ever say something like that again.” He’d begin. “I’ve waited for you every time you’ve slept since we’ve met. And I’ll keep waiting. Don’t ask me to just leave you behind because we’re unsure…Because we know what’s coming this time.” He’d take their hand in his and just squeeze, as if afraid they’d disappear. And in a way they were. “I care about you too much to just ‘move on’ so don’t ask again. Please.”

By the end his voice would have thickened with emotion, revealing the very real fact that he was just as scared as them. And they’d end up shedding a few tears themself ask they argued their point. “There’s no guarantee that I’ll wake this time. And just the thought of you, left in stasis waiting…It hurts. I don’t want you to stop living your life for me. I’m begging you. Please be happy.”

It’s be a back and forth debate, one that Ignis would ultimately win. Because like hell he was just going to leave them in his past. There was no happiness without them. For the rest of that night they’d just hold each other, waiting for the sun to come up.

And during the week their sleep was supposed to take them, neither of the pair slept really. They’d spend every moment with each other, as if frantic to make memories to keep them company while they were separated.

And one day, when they’d fallen asleep together on their bed, he awakes. But they don’t. After having a moment of bitter sadness to himself, he’d call the caretakers from the hospital, and go with them on the transport as they were moved into the hospital’s care.

And he’d wait. He’d wait and wait. They’d be safely a sleep, and he’d go through out his life, frequently checking on them. And even though it takes years, he waits for them to wake again. It would be the longest 5 years of his life.

Request please? What would happen if the reader really loves Prompto, but she gets depressed and sad when he keeps talking about Cindy and eventually just breaks down crying? D: Have a lovely night!

Reader like, second person right? First time writing this way. Here we goooo!! (Kind of short.)

Your hair is in your eyes, which you don’t really mind. It helps hide your face from sight. Though, there’s no one else around you to see you. You were also further hidden by your knees, which were drawn up to your chest and cradled your forehead. You’re alone, sitting atop a rock away from the haven you and the boys are camped at. Why? Because you just can’t stop your damn tears from falling.

Earlier that day, you’d all run into the blonde haired beauty by the name of Cindy, and dread had settled into your gut. She was everything someone could wish for. Her kindness was second to none. Her humor was something that drew smiles from every. And her personality ensured that she got along with everyone.

Including Prompto.

That damnable, chocobo haired, laid back, goofball was someone you’d held in high regard since you’d first met. And naturally, that regard evolved into feelings of a romantic nature. Which he never noticed. Even though the other teased you about your affections, the dummy never noticed. In fact, he’d make them stop so you wouldn’t be embarrassed by them. Which was why you were crying right now.

The day had been spent listening to him in the car, while walking, during hunts, and in the camp, go on and on about Cindy. Cindy was so pretty. Cindy was kind. Do you think Cindy has a boyfriend? On and on. Like always.

You got that you weren’t Cindy’s type of nice. You got that maybe your attitude wasn’t always sunshine and puppies like hers. You understood that you had scars, and your body wasn’t ideal. You were nothing like her. You did understand that. But was it so much to hope for Prompto to notice you despite that?

“Y/n?” Someone called, “Where are you?”

You picked up your head and turned toward the voice, and mentally cursed your luck’s horrid sense of timing. Your hand shot up to your face to scrub away at the tear trails, and you tried to sniffle quietly to clear your nose before answering.

“Prom-ki? That you?” You called out his nickname. You silently congratulated yourself on being able to make your voice sound normal. “I’m up here.”

You didn’t bother getting to your feet, but rather crawled over to the end of the rock you were on, looking below for Prompto. His back was toward you, and he was looking around trying to find you. So you leaned down as far as you could and managed to flick the top of his head.

“Yowch.” He turned quickly and looked up. “There you are.”

You smiled down, grateful for the darkness hiding your face from him. You’re sure that it’d be red and splotchy. And the moonlight wouldn’t be your friend. So you hoped the clouds stayed while he was with you.

He began to clamber up the rock to sit next to you and you reached your hand out to steady him as he pulled himself over.

“Oof. How’d you even get up here?” He questioned, looking at the edge with a cautious eye.

You chucked and went back to your original spot, curling up like before. “Wing and a prayer man.”

He laughed and took a spot next to you. “Really? You just winged it? What if you fell?”

Already have thanks, you thought. Instead of saying that you just shrugged. “I’ve fallen from higher.”

You both then sat in silence, and you brace for what was coming.

Earlier, when camp had been set up, you had enough of hearing about Cindy. Bless her heart, but you’d had enough. Especially when he was the one saying it.

“I’m going to explore for a while.” You had suddenly said, getting up from your chair and turning from the haven. And even though someone called your name, you kept walking. When you had gotten out of sight of the camp, you broke out into a sprint which had lead you to this rock. Honestly, sprinting and running up the rock was how you’d gotten up there without help.

“Sooo…” He began, like you knew he would. “About earlier.”

You sigh but keep silent.

“Are you alright? I mean, you hardly ever go off on your own. An we were worried when you didn’t come back for dinner.” He nudged you with his shoulder, just to get a reaction from you.

“I…” You cleared your throat. “I was just…i don’t know. I felt like I needed to get away.”

Half true. You needed to get away from him and his fixation on Cindy really. And thinking about it was sort of making your eyes tear up again. And god damn his eyes. Now that he was closer he could see your eyes.

“H-hey! Whats wrong?” He asked, his eyes widening. Reflex kicked in and he put his arm around your shoulders. Which was as welcome as it was unwelcome.

“Nothing.” You said, but your voice choked and you could feel the tears begin to fall again. “Would you believe I’m just crying because I missed Ignis’ cooking tonight?” You said with a watery smile.

He laughed lowly, but pulled you closer. “As much as I appreciate your sense of humor, I’m still worried.”

“I know.” You said, “Just give me a moment.”

He nodded, but you didn’t see. And true to your word, you came to the conclusion that if you didn’t get your feelings off your chest, you wouldn’t be able to move on.

“I… if you liked someone and they didn’t notice, how would you feel?” You began, deciding to stick with your half truths. “Would you feel like something was squeezing your throat? Your chest ache? And your thoughts turn against you?”

He frowned, but answered anyways. “…Yeah. That’s pretty accurate.”

“I’m guessing you don’t have to guess how that feels. How I feel right now.” You continued. “It hurts a lot. And I didn’t want to drag you all into my mess at the camp. That’s all.”

“I don’t think any of us would have minded. We’ve all felt that way I’m sure. Hell. I feel that way sometimes even now.” He said softly, arm still around you.

Somehow, that statement got under your skin and gave you that last burst of courage needed to get your feelings out. You grabbed his arm and gently took it off your shoulders, lowing it back to his side before wrapping your arms around yourself again.

“You’re talking about Cindy again right?” You said, and then continued without waiting for his answer. “You talk about her, over and over, it’s got to be her. You saw her and there was no room left for me. Because they person I was talking about was you, you know. I like you Prompto. I have for a long time. And…you just didn’t notice.”

You still couldn’t look at him, and drew your arms tighter around yourself. “I’m sorry if that’s sudden, but I just…if I keep it to myself I can’t move on. And I’m tired of feeling jealous and alone. You can head back to camp without me. I’ll be along after I put myself back together okay?”

It was silent, and he was still beside you. Six, you did not want his pity. You about to say as much until you felt his hand turning your face toward him, and a gentle kiss pressed against your mouth. You froze, surprised.

But he didn’t. He moved from your mouth to your cheek, and kissed his way up to your temple before whispering by your ear, “You’re wrong. It’s not Cindy.”

“You were the one who made me feel that way. When you’d talk about the others, or how you don’t look at me when I feel like I’m always staring at you, and sometimes you stare at complete strangers.” He smiled as you digested this information.

And before your brain could really finish processing what he said, you leaned forward and returned what he gave, kissing just as softly. And it felt like everything was finally coming to rest.

T_T Me again. I’m kinda down right now ( Life is such a devil) that’s why I ask for a request with Noctis and his s/o spending time together on valentines day. Write it as a scenario or as a headcanon. ;; By the way. Happy Valentines Day!

I hope you feel better! Happy Valentines day!

Noctis would be someone who would start valentines celebrations the night before. Like, he’d invite his S/O over to his apartment for dinner, a movie, and cuddling.

They’d fall asleep next to each other and take their time waking up. Like, they don’t get out of bed until their stomachs growling would force them out. Which would be around 11am. (Lets face it, Noctis has never missed breakfast. So even getting out of bed this late would be a feat.)

They’d attempt to cook something together, but just end up ordering a lunch in. (Ignis would probably have to clean the burnt pans. Or they’d throw them away leaving him wondering where all Noctis’ pans went.)

After that, they’d get ready to go out for the night. They know that downtown is full of activities to do together, and though both don’t really like crowds, they really don’t want to just stay inside all day.

They get ready and dress up. Noctis would actually be in a nice shirt and pants, with appropriate shoes to match. They would dress to match him.

Then away they’d go! Hand in hand and love struck expressions on their face. (It’d be funny trying to compliment Noctis, simply because he’d be so flustered by all this already.)

Once outside, they’d occasionally catch sight of people they know. (Like…wait when did prompto get a valentine?! Gladio too!)

Walking in the park is definitely something that’d happen.  Perhaps they’d get to see a free concert in the same park.

Somehow, they get roped into a competition to have one of their hands tied to their partner’s, and not break the string.

They’d break it in the first five minutes because they get pulled apart by the crowd. But they don’t mind. So long as they find each other again.

They’d also end up napping in the park together. They’re not the only couple to do so either. A bunch of cuddlebugs in the park.

They end up running into Prompto again, with his valentine, and have a bit of a double date. they go out to dinner and a movie again. And Prompto would offer to take a few photos of them.

They’d agree and he’d get some great photos to remember this day by.

They’d part ways again and go back to his place, where he’d reveal a few gifts for them. Stuffed animals, candies, and cheesy cards.

They’d spend the rest of the time cuddling on the couch.

I know I commented on it already but I love that festival scenario you did for Ignis/childhood s/o! So fluffy and sweet! Would you be up for writing another part? Since it’s nearing Valentine’s Day, I was wondering if you could do a date night in Lestallum (bonus with the stalker!bros and Iris XD) complete with dancing with the street music and sentimental gifts because hey it’s their anniversary too?? Thank you so much!

Let’s see where this goes. Makes no sense, but I tried? Oops it turned into a drabblish type thing.  takes place a few days after the chocobo fest with them finally to lestallum after going on a few hunts with them to help earn some extra gil. Ignis wouldn’t want them nearby when leviathan is called.

It’d been a long trip back to Lestallum. They’re bone tired, and everything just seemed like it was too much and too fast. The other’s were lucky, they thought, and had all fallen asleep leaning on each other in the back seat. And while Ignis had told them to go ahead and sleep as well, but they weren’t going to leave him to face the night alone. So they stayed awake, and were currently whispering back and forth in hushed tones to keep one another awake.

Ignis, his exhaustion getting to him, spoke quietly. “It’ll be four years tomorrow when we first started dating.”

They looked at him and smiled, their face softened from their own sleepiness. It wasn’t often Ignis said such sentimental things out loud. They took it as a sign that he was truly tired, but they also relished the chance to talk about their anniversary as well.

”And we’ve known each other for fourteen yesterday.” They pointed out.

He laughed quietly, and brought their hand up to his mouth to press a kiss to the back of their knuckles. “Truly? I can’t believe I didn’t realize.”

“Not many people would Ig.” They huffed in amusement and squeezed his hand very briefly, their own form of a kiss since they couldn’t lean over and distract him while he drove. Then their dry sense of humor kicked in and they cheekily added, “Also, you turned twenty-three six days ago.”

They grinned at him when he snickered. “I didn’t know that one,” he teased, “Maybe I need to keep you around to act as a planner for me since it appears I forget important dates all too easily.”

“Oh yes. Finally, I’m useful to the great Ignis.” They hummed in amusement. But then they returned to being semi-serious. “You remembered my favorite day out of everything though. That counts for something.”

“I enjoy my birthday too much to forget it love.” He teases and smirked at them, glancing at them briefly before returning his eyes to the road.

They ended up laughing at the quip into the night air as he drove and he sighed contently. Both then lapsed into a comfortable silence for the rest of the drive. Neither noticed the blonde haired gunner’s eyes barely open in the backseat, with the smallest smile on his face.

When they pulled into Lestallum, they roused the others, and booked a few rooms for the night with minimal effort. Ordinarily, they would have all just shared a room. But Prompto managed to convince the others that they all wanted their own beds for once, and demanded more than one room. They didn’t question it and readily agreed. They then took their leave to find their own way into bed after the others were taken care of.

Normally, Ignis wouldn’t have caved, and they certainly wouldn’t have let him cave. But they both had lost their will to fight for the night and needed a good night’s sleep to replace it. When they finally arrived at their room, they both just collapsed into their bed next to each other, and completely checked out of waking life.

~

It comes as a shock to them both when they open their eyes, and it’s one in the afternoon. They struggle to shake the grips of sleep from themselves, but suddenly both snap fully awake when they realize that it’s ONE IN THE AFTERNOON.

Ignis sit’s up and starts texting the others, trying to figure out where they are. Meanwhile, his intended got out of bed and started going through their bags to find clothes for them both. Honestly, they had all the money, and hoped the boys hadn’t managed to starve while they slept. And the six knew that they’d never hear the end of them BOTH managing to over sleep.

While they sorted their clothes out, Ignis was furiously texting the other three, demanding to know why they hadn’t woken them up. When he suddenly falls backwards onto the bed in frustration, his paramour tilts their head in concern.

“Something wrong?” They ask, leaving the bags for later.

He sighed wearily and ran a hand through his hair. “They’ve gone off on their own I’m afraid. Much like 5 days ago.”

“What a bunch of meddlers.” They said fondly, returning back to their task. “Well. Honestly, the last time didn’t turn out too horrible. Unless you’re having second thoughts…?”

The grinned to themself when they heard Ignis sit up in a hurry. They knew he was tired, but couldn’t resist teasing him.

“N-no! Not at all. Far from it!” He managed to get out, blinking at them when they chuckled and looked over their shoulder at him. Then it sunk in that they were only joking and he sighed heavily once more. “That’s not fair you know. You wake up quicker than me.”

“Yes darling, I do.” They kept grinning fondly and continued, “And I relish every moment I can hear you stutter.”

His face flushed at that and they shook their head with an amused huff. They were proud that around them, and only them, he relaxed enough to act his age. They both were relatively young, but had been forced to act so much older. It was a cherished secret that around each other they could comfortably allow themselves to be their age. And they loved this side of him as much as the master statistician he had to be around the others.

“Well, we best get a move on today. I doubt they thought to extend the rooms for another night, and we still have to replenish our stores of supplies, and there are a few-” Ignis kept muttering behind them, making a mental list of what needed to be done before nightfall. So they interrupted him

“Take a shower first before you start planning how the world will work today. Your hair is sticking up everywhere, and honestly, at the moment you look so put out by everything the boys will go running when they see you.”

He frowned at them, got up, and rolled his eyes in mock exasperation. “Yes mother.”

They chuckled quietly to themself as they got to their feet, clothes picked out and in their arms, and walked over to press a kiss to Ignis’ cheek before he went to the bathroom.

“Happy anniversary.” They whispered next to his ear. He flushed a very pleasant shade of red in response.

“To you as well.” He murmured.

But then they both stepped apart and continued with their own tasks, getting ready on their own and in a comfortable silence. It wouldn’t be until sundown they’d be ready to leave the room really.

Then, when leaving the room, they found a note on the door. Ignis got to it first and skimmed it. They raised a questioning eyebrow at Ignis when he sighed heavily and shook his head.

“They really are meddlers.” He said, handing the note to them so they could read it too.

Their eyes scanned the page, and a laugh bubbled out of them. It was a sweet note from all three, letting them have some space for the night. Which, they apparently weren’t letting Ignis back out of by taking the Regalia on a hunt while leaving the two behind.

“Well, we can’t disappoint them.” They said while taking his arm in theirs and tugging him toward the entrance of the hotel. “You know they’re not really on a hunt. They’re probably lurking around.”

Ignis followed them willingly, and chuckled. “You’re probably right. Want to check?”

They grinned at him and nodded.

~

This was becoming something of a habit.

Ignis and them stood by the fountain, and it looked like they were having a good time. They were both smiling and laughing. And then…

Ignis’ hand shot out and pushed them backwards lightly. Their knees hit the back of the stone’s edge and they tipped back, and almost into the fountains waters.

“Oh not again!!” They both could hear Prompto’s voice ring out from a nearby alley.

But this time, Ignis’ arm also shot out at the same time their’s did, and caught their hand mid-fall. They stopped just short of the water, and he pulled them back upright and snickered.

“There they are.” He stated and they threw back their head and laughed.

They could hear scuffling from where the voice originated from, but dared not look so they wouldn’t give away that they knew they were being followed again. Truthfully, they didn’t mind. Ignis was the other three’s dear friend. And even if he and themself had been friends since childhood, of course they would worry about him being happy with them. And would want to make sure things went well between the two.

“They won’t be too much of a bother I think.” They replied as they began to lead him toward the nightlife that was just starting up, “Truthfully, it’s kind of sweet of them.”

“How so?” He asked, eyeing the people and stands they passed.

“You do realize they want to see you happy right?” They smiled at him before pressing a kiss to his jaw. “That’s all. Now lets just ignore them for now and have fun. It’s not every year we have a 4th anniversary.”

“Quite right.” He said before returning their kiss with a quick peck.

Public affection from Ignis was rare, so they lit up with a large smile and tugged him into the crowd. They had nothing in particular planned. It was more just a stroll around Lestallum together. Which was perfect. Time with Ignis was all they wanted before he had to leave again.

~

“Oh look Ig.” They pointed at a lone musician, playing a guitar softly and sweetly. More than one couple were dancing to the music they played. And the woman playing softly smiled as they did so.

Ignis smiled himself, took their hand in his, pressed a kiss to their knuckles, and then said, “Would you dance with me?”

Pink dusted their cheeks and they shrugged, offering an apologetic smile, “We haven’t in a long time. I’m afraid I’d probably step on your feet.”

“Humor me? I think for our anniversary I’d like to have one dance with you.” He replied easily, tugging them along toward the rest of the dancers.

“Just do it!” They heard a muttered whisper behind them and ended up snickering. That sounded suspiciously like Noctis….

“Oh alright.” They step forward willingly along with him after that, the whisper giving them the courage they needed. “I suppose it couldn’t hurt.”

They fell into position easily, both having been taught as children. Though, the only one who’d actually used their lessons in real life would be Ignis. He’d danced a lot more often than they had. For a moment they stood with his hand on their waist and their hand on his shoulder. And then they began to move with the rest of the couples.

But it was surprisingly fluid how they remembered to move. Ignis led them of course, pulling them into a gentle and slow step. And every time he felt them hesitate in a step, a small reassuring whisper of encouragement would leave him. And soon enough, it all came back to them and both were freely moving.

Eventually they both ended up losing themselves in each other. The world dropped away, and it was just the two of them with the music. It was lovely, they thought, just to be here with him and sharing a memory. Soon enough they slowed to a stop along with the music, and leaned their foreheads against one another’s, their eyes closed and hands held together.

“I really and truly do love you.”  He whispered to them, his eyes still closed. But at his words they opened their eyes and leaned forward, catching his mouth with theirs before closing them again.

“And I you.” They replied.

He pulled away and continued holding their hand as they walked back into the crowd. They made their way to the fountain and sat next to each other. They leaned against him, while his hand traced the lines on their palm. They sighed in contentment.

“If we could just stay like this forever, I wouldn’t mind.” They voiced out loud, closing their hand around his so he’d stop his tracing.

He was silent for a moment before replying, “I find…I wouldn’t mind that either.”

Both left it unsaid that it wasn’t possible. And they wouldn’t ask that of him even if it was. This was their life. And all they could ask for was stolen and gifted moments such as this.

“I know I asked you to marry me a few days ago.” Ignis suddenly began.

“Five to be exact.”

“Right.” He cleared his throat, “But we were missing one crucial part of our agreement.”

They blinked, sitting up. Nervousness had begun to creep into his voice, so they looked at him in concern.

“Ignis?”

“I’ve a gift for you. I know you’ve already said yes, but…” He reached into his pocket. “An anniversary gift and engagement gift.”

In the space above their laps, he opened a small box, revealing a plain black engagement ring, with golden embellishments on it.

“You don’t have to wear it of course…Its just…” He couldn’t look directly at them, his face beginning to burn. If they were reading his face right, there was a mixture of fear and hope running wild in his mind.

“You don’t have to finish Ignis.” They whispered softly. “Of course I’m going to wear it.”

They reached forward and turned his face toward themself. “I’m going to wear it, and think of you all the time until we actually get married.”

He met their eyes and smiled. They held out their hand and he, being the gentleman he is, slipped the ring onto their finger.

“Consider this a promise then. Of a future together someday.”

“We’ve the rest of our lives dear. And I’m willing to wait.”

They smiled and scooted closer to him, wrapping one of their arms around his waist and leaning their head against him. He in turn rested his head on top of theirs, and put and arm around their shoulder.

And there they sat, content in silence, and not daring to think about the future. Because despite his promise, they both knew it was very likely that they may not get to see it fulfilled. But this moment was enough. They’d grown up stealing moments of each other’s time from their duties and responsibilities. Destiny had never placed love in their cards. So they had placed it there themselves. And moments like this were always enough.

They had forgotten about the nearby trio, who were currently jumping around and celebrating their friend’s good fortune of finding someone who loved him.

“We’ve been dating for four years today.” They said and he hummed in agreement.

“We’ve known each other for fourteen years as of two days ago.”

“Yes?”

“Your birthday was seven days ago.”

“I am aware.”

He nudged the top of their head with his, as if trying to get them to the point faster.

They then smiled and said, “My birthday is at the end of the month.”

He finally began to catch on and grinned. “We were engaged five days ago.”

“You do realize we have to have a wedding in this same month right?”

“In order to keep with the trend…” He laughed, “I suppose you’re right.”

They laughed with him, and then they both went silent, enjoying the night air in peace.

~

Bonus:

“The boys are going to hate us.” Ignis said after 30 minutes of silence.

“Yes. But they’ll still love us all the same too.” They replied, their eyes still closed, knowing what he was thinking.

“Brace yourself.” They could hear the laugh in his voice when he suddenly pulled them backwards with him into the fountain’s waters, ruining the seriousness of the moment.

“OH COME ON!”

Can you do a hc for the boys where their crush is super self conscious of the way they look when they smile & laugh so they always end up covering their face?? 💜

Super adorable!!!

Noctis:

He’d be a little disappointed through out the day when he’d see them cover their smile every single time they smiled or laughed. But he wouldn’t ask about it, knowing it’d probably make them even more self-conscious. He’s well aware of their feelings.

This causes him to fall in love with waking up next to them in the morning. (The only thing he loves about mornings really.) (Also, Noctis does make it a point to sleep next to them, because they sometimes cuddle in their sleep and like hell he’s missing out on cuddling.)

Sleepy mornings where they’re both allowed to take them time waking are the best because they’re too sleepy to hide from him.

It’s during this moment that he’d allowed to see their smile in all it’s glory. And he’d probably subtly make sure their hands were trapped between them, or maybe even behind him if they’re cuddling, just so he could see it just a little longer.

Once fully awake they’d start covering their mouth right away again, which would cause him to sigh, but smile to himself. (He’d hope that one day they’d trust him enough to smile freely around him.)

Prompto:

It would only be a habit from a long forgotten past that would keep their hand rising to their mouth. He’d tease them about it, but they wouldn’t be able to break their habit.

It’d soon start to drive him UP THE WALL. Like, even though they’d been friends for so long, HE’D NEVER SEEN THEIR SMILE. He’s sure it’s cute and sweet, and irresistibly adorable and he just really really wants to see them smile.

So, he’d decide that he was going to make his crush laugh and smile. ALL. DAY. LONG. Like, the day is filled with 100% percent jokes, gags, tricks, and banter just for them. Because they’re bound to forget hiding SOMETIME. Right?

(The other three know what’s going on, and play along to help him.)

But ti wouldn’t work. In fact, they’d completely hide their face when they laugh too hard.

Eventually, when they have a moment alone he’d say, “That’s it.”

And before they can question what he means, he tackles them, pins them down, and tickles them after trying and failing all day to make them smile without their hand in the way. HE WANTS TO SEE DAMN IT.

They’d probably shout in surprise and then start uncontrollably smiling and laughing. Which also dissolves into threatening him. “J-Just-You-WAIT-PROM!!!!!!”

He finally get to see their smile and basks in it for about five seconds….and then realizes what he’s done. He goes PALE.

He, unfortunately, is WAAAY more ticklish than them. So he darts away while they’re catching their breath. IT doesn’t take them long though, and they catch up with him and gets their revenge.

(He finds he doesn’t really mind though. They’re smiling all the while.)

Gladio:

This guy, after every laugh and smile, will make it a point to touch some part of his crush if they’re self-conscious enough to hide something a beautiful as a smile. Be it their shoulder, their hand, maybe their face if they’re that close at the time.

Instead of forcing it like Prompto, or stealing moments like Noctis, he’d the one who will wait for them to show him. And he’s very patient.

He’ll be the most attentive one, even beating out Ignis. He’s going to make sure to compliment them every time he even thinks they’re doubting themself. Make it a point to glance away from them if they show signs of wanting to hide. And close his eyes when they’re alone together so they don’t feel the need to hide.

All this to slowly build up their confidence and trust in him until one day, they smile openly and freely. (And in his opinion, it’s the sweetest smile he’d ever seen.)

Ignis:

He’s definitely the sneakiest one of them all. While he’d respect his crush enough to wait for them, like Gladio does, he’d also going to follow Noctis’ method and steal moments of their smile for himself.

He’d make sure they’d be alone (Perhaps just spending time away from the others) and hold out his arm for them to take, just being a gentleman, so they’d be close. They’d be able to lean their head on his shoulder as they walked, which suited him fine. The closer they were, the better this would work.

Then, he’d try making them smile with silly thoughts and what if scenarios. But since they’re so close, he can see a bit behind their hand, to the smile hidden there.

It would be a like a small preview, a gift really, of what he had to look forward to in the future. He treasures those stolen moments really, and sincerely wishes to be the first to see their smile uncovered.

Oh God, I loved how you wrote my request (about falling for the wrong person), it was absolutely perfect! Can I ask for similar one but with other characters, maybe Luna and Ravus or any characters that you would like to write about? It’s okay if you don’t want to though :))

No problem! I can’t think of any for other characters unfortunately. But Luna and Ravus did get something.

Luna:

She wants to believe that the pain from their past is what causes them to verbally lash out at everyone. And that as the oracle and their friend, she could heal them. Even if this darkness wasn’t the one she was blessed enough to take away. Her brother would try to convince her that her efforts are in vain. Soon after, he switch to saying she had tried hard enough. There was no healing them. But she’d keep pushing and pushing, hoping to reach through their anger and the hurt to ‘who they really are’. But she can’t. No matter what she does she can’t. Because she’d eventually realize, after yet another night of crying from their angry words, that the person she was looking for inside them didn’t exist. There was just their anger. And it would cause her to learn her hardest lesson:

You can’t heal everyone.

Ravus:

Training under the empire was an interesting time for him. He’d been beaten, bloodied, and bruised from training. However, he’d give as good as he got to his sparring partner, and their anger from the bouts against each other soon dissolved into misplaced feelings on both their parts. They’d hurt each other, and somehow, that became how they showed affection for one another. Hurting each other was the only way they could express what they felt, and it was far from healthy. During a visit to Luna, she’d worry about him. Noticing that he was slightly manic in his actions. And he’d snap out of the fervor he’d managed to work himself into. Upon returning to training, he’d see the same look on their face, and try to snap them out of it. But when he couldn’t he’d give up on them, ask to switch partners, and refocus on his goals.

There are people you’ll meet who’s just won’t be good for you, and no matter how much you care for them, you aren’t good for them either.
