Can I request a scenario for gladio! I need help because I would leave my husband for him 😍 shh. Anyways, can I have gladio’s S/O showing up and saving the day after he thinks he lost her? Full of fluff and love? Thank you in advance if you get time!

(Since you used ‘her’ as a descriptor for his S/O, I’m going to go ahead and use she, her, hers pronouns.)

I can picture this happening with the boys during a fight inside a cave. Perhaps the S/O has only been with them for a short while, or maybe they’ve been there with them since the beginning. Either way they’re fighting at their side. Or they should have been. When the smoke clears and everyone thinks they’re safe they’re all stand around to take a breather. They’re all happy to have made it through unscathed. Gladio would have been about to walk over to make sure his S/O was alright, a grin on his face.

But no one would notice the goblin’s hand shooting up from the edge of the cliff Gladio’s S/O was standing beside. She’d get pulled backwards with wide eyes and a scream. Gladio would shout her name and rush over to the edge. He’d pray that it was only a short drop. But when he’d reach the edge there’d only be a bottomless darkness. To make matters even worse, the scream could still be heard…until it was cut short. It was a long way to fall judging by her scream.

A nearly impossible height to survive from.

He’d shout their name again, and again, hoping that she would respond, hoping that there was still a trace of life left in her. The other boys would have to pull him away from the edge, with a lot of struggle. He’d fight them as they tried to make him leave, because god damn it that’s his S/O down there! But they’d have to leave, because his shouting would call even more enemies to them.

They’d manage to drag him to the entrance, but that’s as far as they get before the floor beneath them crumbles, a trap set by some of the denizens of the cave. They end up on a lower level, a little bruised but okay. But they they all get separated by the goblins. Noctis ends up sliding down a steep decline into the darkness. Prompto would manage to get himself dragged off into a hole by goblins. Ignis lost his glasses in the fray, and ends up falling down a different passage than Noctis. Galdio makes his stand right there.

They all manage to fight their way back to each other after grueling hours of fighting, but are out of potions completely now. They’re surrounded and all nearly done for. They’ve no more phoenix downs. All have fallen at this point, and there’s no hope.

Or so it seems. Gladio’s S/O appears from one of the many passageways, running full tilt before leaping into the air and driving her own great sword into the ground and sending the nearest goblins flying. She’d keep swinging, and Gladio through his haze would see her. She’d look like fire and death, but she’d be alive.

It was only when she’d cleared an area of the goblins that she’d pull out a mega phoenix and revive them all.

“We need to leave!” she’d say, and rather than fight they’d run. They’d have Noctis warp back to the original entrance because lets face it, they’re all here to protect him in the first place. The sooner he’s out of danger the sooner they can focus on themselves. He’d argue, but Gladio would have none of it and would threaten to throw him up there if it came to it.

He’d agree and then Gladio’s S/O would grab his hand and lead them back down the passageway she came from. She’d point to a place where they could get out, but because she was -ahem- a bit on the short side, she couldn’t reach it herself earlier. Gladio would make her go first, Ignis second since he still didn’t have his glasses, he’d watch Prompto scramble up the opening as quick as he could, and then Gladio would pull himself up before the goblins could reach them. His S/O of course would help him back to his feet.

They’d pause for a moment and just grab each other in a hug and hold on for the longest time. “We have to go, we still have to reunite with Noct.” Prompto would mention, warily eyeing every passage he could see.

They’d pull away and look each other in the eyes, a silent promise to speak later.

They’d make their way out of the cave and find the original entrance soon after. Noctis would be pacing there waiting for any sign of them. They’d all reunite and decide to get the hell out of their for the night. The cave would be labeled too dangerous for them to go into, and to not return unless they were heavily prepared.

They’d find the nearest haven and make camp for the night, each of them leaving to try and calm themselves down on their own.

Except Gladio. You can bet he’d stick to his S/O side like glue after the scare he had today. She wouldn’t mind and they’d sit at the edge of the haven, their legs dangling off the side. She’d quietly take one of his hands and hold it with both of hers. She’d lean against him and whisper sweet nothings, reassuring each other that they were both still there.

Eventually, he’d ask how she survived. She’d say luck and describe what happened while she was down there. It really would only be luck that saved her. The pouch she uses to carry her items was underneath her in the fall. A phoenix down had broken in her bag and that’s what saved her. It brought her back, but only barely, she had next to no energy to move, and though she had heard him calling her, she couldn’t respond.

She passed out and was lucky nothing bothered her in the dark. When she woke, she had no flashlight and basically had been wandering blindly. But she managed. She fought when she needed to, and made it back to the level she had fallen from. That was when she caught sight of their flashlights in the distance, and ran toward them. Imagine her surprise when they were all on the ground and nearly dead.

Gladio would reply with his part of the story. This would lead to them kissing each other softly and whispering how they never wanted to scare each other like that again. They’d make each other promise though, that if one of them fell in battle the other would keep moving and wouldn’t try to go back for them. (Neither agreed to this. But it was the thought that comforted them.)

They’d stay there and just hang onto one another, reassuring themselves that they were there.

(Prompto would take a picture of this, but wouldn’t tell them.)
