Ardyn:
- It happened while he was just wandering around aimlessly outside.
- He was pulled out of his thoughts when he heard loud, high-pitched chirping coming from further down the path he was walking on.
- Cocking a brow, he continued to walk closer and closer until he stopped right in front of the bush that was making the noise.
- He pushed away branches and leaves to reveal a small black-feathered chocochick lying in the tangled vines and twigs.
- The chirping didn’t stop as Ardyn pushed away twigs and vines that were tangled around the poor thing.
- He spotted several spots of bare skin, no feathers in sight. They were bloody and scratched up.
- “Poor thing,” he hummed as he lifted the tense bird from the bush, “you ran off and got yourself hurt with no mother around.”
- The bird didn’t even attempt to wiggle in his grip as Ardyn turned around and started to walk back.
- His fingers scratched at the chocochick’s neck and rubbed its back soothingly.
- “Come now, I will get you patched up.”
