Scenarios for when the Chocobros crush falls asleep on them and doesn’t realize while she’s asleep that she cuddles against them and mumbles how much they like them in their sleep? :3 Take your time with the requests, your blog is awesome!

Noctis:

  • He freezes when he heard the words leave their mouth in a whisper.
  • They had been watching a movie, and at some point in time his crush had ended up leaning against him, and allowed him to have his arm draped over their shoulders.
  • He slowly turns his head, his face dusted with pink. Maybe he had imagined it?
  • But then they say it again, followed by how much they love his smile and how they wished he’d smile more often.
  • He tries to meet their eyes after shifting in such a way that they’re facing each other while they’re still rested against him.
  • They’re asleep. A part of him is relieved that they aren’t awake to witness how flustered he’s getting.
  • Another part of him is disappointed that they likely wouldn’t remember that they basically told him they liked him.
  • He plots for the next day, to surprise them with a date and officially asking them out.

Prompto:

  • It started out with simply laying with each other in the park, cloud watching. He’d occasionally take a few picture, but soon, the sky lulled them both into a doze.
  • But he’s startled awake when suddenly, he finds an arm draped over him and his crush pulling him closer to them.
  • They nestle into his side and he can’t help but to let out a slight squeak of embarrassment. What would they do when they woke up and found him awake, and them asleep, and they were sooo close and-
  • They suddenly say they like him.
  • He blinks and he’s stunned for a moment. They say it again, and as if to emphasis their point, cuddle even closer to him.
  • He hesitantly wraps his arms around them and pull them just as close, resting his chin in their hair. They mutter once more that they like him.
  • He just lets them lay together after that, enjoying it while he can. He lets himself imagine that they were awake, and this would end in happily ever after for him. But he can’t keep pretending, and sighed, allowing himself to stop his daydreaming.
  • “Do you mean it I wonder?” He asks quietly.
  • “Yes.” Comes an unexpected response.
  • He jumps about a mile in the air and asks when they had woken up.
  • They grin and state they when he grabbed them they had woken, but didn’t want to stop cuddling him.
  • “I meant it Prompto.”

Gladiolus:

  • They’re concussed, clearly.
  • A training session gone wrong from earlier today maybe? Because there’s no way in hell that that confession was for him.
  • They were laying on his living room floor together, both tired from their days. Their head was on his shoulder and they were so close, he could feel their breath on his neck.
  • He knew he should have woken them and let the move away, but honestly, he didn’t have the heart or determination to interrupt their sleep.
  • And he’d gone and heard something not meant for him, no matter how much he wishes it was.
  • But then they speak again, and say his name this time, and his heart flutters in his chest before he can stop it.
  • He should wake them up, he tells himself, they don’t know what they’re saying.
  • For all he knows, this was meant to be a secret!
  • But then they sigh and mumble something about there being no time to sleep for the next two days.
  • He decides to just let them sleep, and tried to tune out their sleepy confessions.
  • He finds out the only way to get them to stop talking in their sleep is to respond to them. So he says he likes them just as much, they should get more sleep, and they should take a break with him one of these days…
  • (He doesn’t see Iris in the doorway, recording them. He also doesn’t realize that Iris shows them the footage the next day. So when they walk up to him the day after, plant a kiss on his mouth, and then walk away without saying a word, he is SO so lost.)

Ignis:

  • They are both in one of the Citadel’s many sleeping quarters, for when the staff is awake more than 24 hours and can’t make it home.
  • The other rooms are full, but he sees that they have one of the rooms already and just wanders off to join them. (It’s an old arrangement really. They both knew each other, and were comfortable with each other, so they didn’t mind sharing a bed sometimes.)
  • It’s not uncommon to find them both there, over worked and sleeping it off. It’s just the first time he gets there and they’re already asleep. Normally he’s asleep when they get there and has a room, and he awakes when they’re asleep, putting the room in their name as he leaves. (They keep records of such a thing down here, and they’re not the only staff members who have such an arrangement, so it’s not looked down upon.)
  • So the voice that comes from them as he’s drifting off is a surprise. Especially when it’s as clear as day. “I adore you Ignis.”
  • He almost thinks he’s dreaming, and responds without thinking. “I adore you as well.”
  • He freezes when he realizes he said that out loud.
  • He breathes a sigh of relief when he realizes that they were sleep talking. But then he realizes that they’re sleep talking. About liking him.
  • He bolts upright by accident when a thought strikes him. Oh gods, what if he spoke in his sleep too??
  • The movement is enough to wake them and cause them to turn over to face him.
  • “Morning Ig. Something wrong?” They look a little concerned rather than upset that he woke them.
  • He stutters and stumbles over his words, but tells them the truth. “You said you adore me??”
  • They blink, and then chuckle sleepily. “Oh…yeah. I do. I figured I’d return the favor. Goodnight Iggy.”
  • He’s left a little unsure about what they meant, but lays back down anyways. He’d deal with…whatever this was when he woke up.
  • (He nearly jumps out of his skin when he realizes their unconscious minds took their last conversation as a confession and woke up CUDDLING with them.)

Love your stuff, always get happy when i see a notifucation saying you’ve posted something. Hope the long days went by fast at least ^_^ How would the bros react if Ardyn was acting all fatherly to their s/o, like they look like the splitting image of his favorite/only child and he’s not exactly happy with their choice in love interest?

Noctis:

  • At the sound of Ardyn chiding his S/O over their choice of
companion, he nearly spins on heel and stomps back over to where they are.  He gets as far as whirling around, but then
    freezes.
  • The look of fatherly concern on Ardyn’s face jars him.
Deeply. His father would wear that same expression when chiding him.
  • It worries him when his S/O doesn’t pick up on it. He knows
they’re not the most attentive person in the world, but even he thinks they
should have picked up on something so…strange.
  • He has to stop himself from darting over and pushing Ardyns
hands off of their head when he reaches out to stroke their hair. Like one
would do with a small child.
  • When Ardyn then says that they deserve better than him, he
feels a bit offended and finally stomps over to confront the older man.
  • That seems to snap Ardyn out of whatever came over him, and
he takes a step back from his S/O. If noctis wasn’t mistaken, that was
    confusion on his face.
  • When Ardyn apologies, casts one last torn look at his S/O,
and leaves for the night after paying for the caravan, Noctis draws his S/O
into his arms and refuses to let go for the rest of the night.
  • There was something in Ardyn’s eyes that worried him. Like
he was going to take his S/O away.
  • Like hell he’d let that happen though.

Prompto:

  • Prompto would press a kiss to his S/O’s cheek before taking
off into the nearby small store. He’d be watching through the window, and his
heart would sink at the looks of disgust Ardyn casts at the shop.
  • He’d wonder what the shop had ever done to Ardyn, but then
realize, when Ardyn walks over to his S/O that the look was meant for him.
  • The look on Ardyn’s face was one of disappointment and
anger.  So naturally Prompto would set
down what he was looking at and run back to their side, or try to anyways.
  • He’d catch the tail end of their conversation, and feel a
bit sick when he hears Ardyn call him a thing.
  • “Such a THING is beneath you.” Ardyn would say.
  • His S/O would be super confused, and not know how to
respond. They’d catch his eyes and subtly shake their head, a warning for him
    not to come any nearer.
  • As if Ardyn was a danger to him.
  • He’d go and get everyone else before attempting to get his
    S/O out of the situation.
  • Ardyn would then remember himself, return to the grandiose
personality he had earlier, and then disappear from the caravan from the night.
  • Prompto would then, after thanking the others for their help
and asking for a moment alone, ask what made them send him away.
  • They’d respond that they thought the man was going to kill
them, and mention they kept calling them a different name throughout the odd
    conversation.
  • “Almost as if…he was disappointed in me. A father
    scolding a child.”
  • They’d sleep with one eye open that night, and watching each
other’s backs so nothing would happen.
  • He can’t shake that Ardyn is seeking revenge for whatever
imagined slight he had done after learning of their relationship.

Gladiolus:

  • His S/O is heard arguing with the Chancellor as they return
to the caravan with their things.
  • Ardyn has apparently questioned their taste in dating
    partners.
  • Ordinarily it wouldn’t have bothered him…if said dating
    partner wasn’t himself.
  • He’d let his S/O take care of it, trusting their skills to
defend them if it came down to it.
  • Things would get heated when his S/O shouts, “Who I
date is none of your business, so WHAT’S IT TO YOU?!”
  • Ardyn absolutely looked furious and was about to respond
something in kind, but then something snaps in his eyes, and he takes a step
back, as if realizing where he is for the first time.
  • He’d apologize, something that catches everyone off guard.
    “You look so much like…”
  • He never finishes, turning away and disappearing into the
    night.
  • He asks his S/O what that was about before they go to bed,
    and they shrug.
  • “I think…he lost someone dear to him.” Is all
    they say.
  • Gladio does not question them laying their head on his chest
when they turn in for the night, even if it’s too hot out to cuddle. (It
worries him how shaken they are.)

Ignis:

  • He’s a bit taken a back when Ardyn says that they could have
at least dated someone other than the royal family’s help.
  • THE HELP?
  • He has to bite his tongue and keep his face neutral while
listening to Ardyn describe the ways such relationships were hidden from the public.
  • “If you’re going to have an affair with someone beneath
    your station…”
  • He launches into the ins and outs of concealing such things.
Ignis is slighly surprised by how much he knows, but dares not let it show.
  • (He’s proud that his S/O is keeping their face as schooled
    as his.)
  • When he’s finished, he looks Ignis, who has not left his
    lover’s side, up and down.
  • “At least he’s sensible.” He states in a somewhat
    approving tone.
  • When his back is turned, he and his S/O glance at each other
in uncertainty. Why is he so concerned?
  • “Thank you for the advice, Chancellor…” His S/O
starts, and establishes some distance between the two of them.  "But who I date and if they’re below my
station is no one’s business, but my own.“
  • "Hm… They said they same thing at your age…”
He mutters, and then takes his leave.
  • Both are left wondering who the “they” he
    mentioned was.

Chocobros hcs when their s/o (gender neutral) flirts to get other people to do something for them (like, to get free stuff or discounts, or get others to pay for them and etc) while they’re on journey? So they kinda have to watch their s/o being all charming and flirting with other guys and girls. I think that’ll be funny :))

Noctis:

  • He would stand quietly off to the side, eyes on them and far enough away to not raise any suspicion for who it is they’re batting their eyes at.
  • There is definitely a pout on his face, and he can’t help but feel a little…left out. He likes it when his S/O flirts with him even when they’re in a relationship, so seeing someone else get to enjoy that side of them…
  • He’d get jealous.
  • But he’d quickly drop the pout when he sees them come over to him, having gotten what they needed. He puts an arm around their shoulders, and has to resist the urge to turn his head and make a face at the recipient of their attention.
  • He’d hold his S/O a little closer for the rest of the day, just wanting to be sure they still like him despite their flirting.
  • Which of course they do, they notice how uncomfortable it makes him, and likewise spend the rest of the day returning his affections. (Which means they turn up the charm on him and he winds up flustered more often than not.)

Prompto:

  • They take turns. They’re charming and sure of themself, which is appealing to a lot of people. Prompto has perfected the dumb blonde act which appeals to the rest.
  • Both have mastered flirting, and regularly flirt with each other.
  • They actually have developed a system. They’ll go talk to the person they need to together, and get a feel for which one they like a better. Then, say if they like his S/O better, Prompto will make an excuse about forgetting something and leave the two alone. That’s when his S/O really amps up the charm, and eventually gets what they need.
  • Prompto would then return, and turn up the charm on them, making sure that the person they were flirted with knew they were taken. They’d then both abscond happily with one another and return to the car.
  • (The others have NO idea that this is how they get most of their things.)

Gladio:

  • He doesn’t pick up on it at first. It’s not that he’s dense, it just because he doesn’t SEE it on their face.
  • Like, when they really smile, only one side of their mouth will twitch up into a smile. Not the fully on beaming brightly at someone that they do when meeting new people.
  • Their laughter will have them tossing their head back and wheezing. Not the quiet little giggles while hiding behind their hand that they do around strangers.
  • Okay, so the fact that they’re leaning into someone else’s space willingly, kind of rubbed him the wrong way, especially when they’re gazing through their eyelashes at their new friend. They’ve never batted their eyes at anyone? So…
  • Then he gets it the first time he sees the end of these shenanigans, and they walk away with a gift, or some new information. And then he REALLY gets it. That was them, FLIRTING.
  • He feels a bit mixed about this at first, but then figures it’s harmless after all.
  • He knows them well enough to tell when they mean it.
  • Besides, the person they’re flirting with doesn’t get to see their real smile. And he’s a bit smug about that.

Ignis:

  • He knows the value of what they do. They save money on things they ordinarily wouldn’t. They sometimes walk away with an item for free. Other times, the tips and info they gather are the difference between life and death.
  • That doesn’t mean he isn’t SEETHING on the inside at the person they’re flirting with when they make advances on his S/O.
  • Most days, he’s fine with it. Really. It’s not like he’s a possessive person…
  • He’s rather level headed according to HIS friends. And HIS s/o seems to trust him not to make a scene when they do this, and always chooses him to watch their back to make sure that their flirting doesn’t invite danger to them.
  • They trust him, and he trusts them, he just doesn’t trust the unwelcome third party in these situations.
  • This is one of the very few situations in which you’ll see him actually acting sullen, though he’ll flat out deny it if someone points it out.
  • And if, once his s/o returns to his side, he’s holding their hand for the rest of the day, no one says a word. And certainly not his S/O who’s enjoying the sudden display of affection.

The reader is a young woman training to be a new guardian for Noctis and is left to survey the city of Lestallam with Ignis, who she really likes. He takes her for a tour to reward her work but begins to struggle with the city temperature. She admits her feelings and he panics from shock and has a little asthma attack he never spoke of before, revealing he doesn’t want it to affect his position with assisting Noct.

Your eyes opened as the cars slowed into it’s parking space.

“Finally.” You muttered. You didn’t even give the prince or Gladio a chance to opened their door before just swinging your legs over the back of the car and sliding down the trunk.

Behind you Noctis made an indignant noise, while Gladio arched an eyebrow at your actions.

You snickered and shrugged, “What? Isn’t my fault your both slower than molasses.”

“We hadn’t even stopped fully!” Noctis said, finally opening his door and getting to his feet.

Gladio did the same while shaking his head. “At least wait until Iggy get’s it into park.”

“It was stopped enough for me.” You said flippantly, waving away their protests. “Besides. We’re here! Finally! I don’t know how ya’ll are so used to such long rides.”

You stretched your arms up, trying to working out the kinks in your back. Prompto was also stretching before coming to stand beside you. “You said it. Would it kill you to stop more often Ig?”

He only looked at the both of you and sighed without responding, lacking the energy to even try. Something that was common ever since you joined their group. Prompto’s energy was bad enough, but with you added into the mix? He didn’t stand a chance.

You in turn slung your arm around Prompto’s shoulders as you bounced up and down on the balls of your feet. “I haven’t been to Lestallum since I was a child! There’s so many people! And it’s so loud! Everything look so…different!”

“What? Really?” Prompto turned to look at you and then looked at the others with huge eyes. “You guys, we can’t NOT show her the town. Is it possible to stay for the night?”

Noctis perked up a bit at the suggestion of staying, he was about to say something, probably in favor of it. But then Gladio put his hand over his mouth and muttered, “Don’t even think about it.”

So he didn’t. Instead, you assumed by Gladio’s shout of disgust, he licked Gladio’s hand and warped away before the bigger man could crush him. “Well, I have to go see what Holly wanted, I’ll catch up with you all later!”

Then he was off at full sprint. Gladio glanced at the both of you and then Ignis,  “I have to see Iris, but first…”

He took off in the same direction as Noctis, and you could swear you heard a shout of terror in the distance.

You snickered, but you really felt bad for the prince. Once Gladio caught him he was dead. Like, dead dead. You’d experienced that first hand when you had played a prank on him while on watch duty. Revenge for the socks incident you said. But he retaliated and now it was an on going thing. Gladio had managed to start a prank war with you and Prompto both, and it looked like Noctis was about to join your ranks. You couldn’t wait.

With a laugh you stepped away from Prompto, looking toward the over look, and the landscape behind it. That settled you down a bit. The sight was amazing. Breathlessly you said, “By the Astrals, and people get to live here and see this everyday.”

Ignis, who for the most part had remained silent through all the shenanigans, nodded, “Astounding isn’t it?”

You nodded, falling quiet and looked up at him with a smile. But then you tore your gaze away and sighed. “But as soon as we get done here, we really should get back on the road. As much as I complain, we got a job to do.”

Ignis hummed in agreement. “True, but it doesn’t seem fair that you don’t get to see the city…”

Prompto, being ever helpful, starting bouncing on his feet much like you had been earlier. “We can take her on a tour before we leave! Show her around! There’s this really great spot that I wanted to take a picture at too, so…wait.”

He stopped bouncing and frowned, pulling his camera out of his pocket. “Aw man. I have to get these pictures to Vyv though.” But then he brightened, “Ignis! You’re not doing anything, and I’m sure Gladio has caught up with Noctis by now and he’s fairly safe with him…kinda… So why don’t you and her go look around the town?”

You turned to look at Ignis with a hopeful expression. “Please? I mean, we’ve already established we’re not staying the night so….?”

Ignis stood in thought for a moment before sighing and giving you a small smile. “I suppose…Just this once. Consider it a reward for your hard work thus far.”

You cheered to yourself and turned to look at the city, eyes darting to everyone and everything. It was true, you hadn’t been here since you were a child. And then when you became a hunter, you stuck to pretty local hunts and tasks. Getting the chance to see the city, and with Ignis no less, you were filled with glee.

After snapping out of your thoughts, you turned to Prompto with a smile. “I’ll catch up with you later, yeah?”

“You bet!” He said, then he turned to dart off to find Vyv, leaving you alone with Ignis.

“So…” You turned and started to bouncy slightly on your feet again, “Where to?”

Ignis gestures for you to follow along, and you fall into place behind him, enjoying the start of the stroll. “Well, I figured we could go through the market and pick up a bite to eat from the stand there.”

You tilt your head and offer a grin to him, “So, Ignis Scienta eats street food? I’d never have guessed.”

“Is it really so surprising?” He gave you a frown as you crossed the street, but you could see the amusement in his eyes, “It tastes good, it’s quick, and fairly filling.”

“It is a surprise, considering how you fret over spice combinations and portion balance.” You snickered and strode ahead of him, wandering into a random direction now that you were in the city. “But…I guess now that I think of it, it suites you.”

“Street food?” He asks.

You blink and turn around not realizing you said that out loud. Instead of getting flustered you flashed a smile and said, “Yeah, let’s go with that.”

His face was confused, but he did let it go. “Alright.”

The rest of the walk continued in peace, with you both greeting people as they greeted you. Aside from that, the walk gave you time to think.

What you had meant was that he was a bit more adventurous that he let on. He wasn’t scared of trying new things, or of unknown paths. And, even though it was odd, him liking street food did fit into what you knew of him. And how adventurous he was when he let his hair down was something that you found endearing, and a big part of the reason that you liked him.

While you were thinking, you didn’t catch that he was clearing his throat more than usual.

The soft call of you name to get your attention pulled you out of your thoughts. You stopped where you were and stood beside Ignis, looking up at him questioningly.

“How about we try this one?” He suggested, gesturing to a few meat skewers.

“Sure!” You chirped, and followed along after him as he went to pay for two of them. You took one from him and said thank you to the vendor before departing with your food to look at the rest of the stands. As you ate, you couldn’t help but note how spicy it was. You never figured Ignis for someone to like hot foods, but the more you knew.

He introduced you to a few of the people in the market him and the boys had helped before they met you, and you found yourself losing track of time with him. You both had to take off your jackets soon enough, but you found yourself enjoying the heat. Eventually though, he pointed out that it would soon be afternoon, so you both went to look at the powerplant, one of the things you were extremely curious about. So he wanted to ensure you got to see it before you left. But as he started to explain how it worked, he suddenly began coughing harshly.

“Ig? Do you need something to drink?” You asked as soon as it stopped, worry coloring your voice.

He nodded before answering, “If it doesn’t bother you?”

You shook your head and raised your hand. “Not at all! You’re not catching cold are you?”

Without thinking you stepped closer to him and pressed the back of your hand to his forehead, and you stared at his forehead as if you could see if he had a fever written there. While you weren’t looking, his eyes roamed over your face. He could see the concern on your furrowed brow and in how you were biting your bottom lip.

He cleared his throat and took a step back, offering you a shy and unsure smile, “No, nothing like that. Just a dry throat I’m sure.”

“If you say so.” You thought it strange but lowered your hand. “Perhaps the vendors in the market have something, huh?”

You set off in the direction you both came from to hunt something down for him to drink. “Anything particular you like?”

“Pick what you think would be best.” He said. There was a look of concentration on his face, and you didn’t want to interrupt what he was thinking about, so you kept your mouth shut until you got to the vendor.

You got two drinks, a pink one for you and a green one for Ignis. You didn’t know what the flavors were, because you had told the vendor to surprise you, but yours was good. And judging by Ignis’ thoughtful face, his was as well.

You both made your way back to the look out point and leaned against the bars there, watching the landscape change with the sunset’s light. But then you made the mistake of glancing at Ignis. His face was completely relaxed, and his eyes in the sunlight almost made you say a prayer to the astrals in thanks. He was still rather winded it seemed like, and would occasionally clear his throat still. But with him so distracted…

You ended up leaning over to press a kiss to his cheek. However, when he caught the movement out of the corner of his eye, he turned to face you. Which resulted in you kissing him full on the mouth.

You pulled back with mild surprise on your face, but then huffed in amusement before pressing another fleeting one to his lips. He stood in stunned silence, and you could see a blush beginning to form on his face. To spare him some dignity while he tried to get himself back together, you turned and faced forward again. Then you decided you mind as well get your feelings for him out there, considering things would be a bit weird if you just kissed him and then never said anything about it.

“I wanted to thank you for today… It meant a lot to me.” You smiled out over the land, glad that this was easier without meeting his gaze. “And I have a feeling you know just how much from that just now. Truthfully…”

“I like you more than I should. And you’re under no obligation to return that if you want to keep this professional.” You kept your smile frozen on your face so he wouldn’t feel pressured.

“I-I…” He trailed off and let out a sigh to steady himself. “I enjoyed today as w-well…and…Well-”

You’d never heard him stutter before, a testament to how nervous you had made him. You braced for rejections. But it didn’t come. He ended up coughing again instead, and this time it sounded worse. Your head whipped around and you placed a hand on his shoulder to steady him. “Ignis? Whats wrong?”

He couldn’t answer, and it was beginning to worry you when you could hear slight wheezes coming from him when he’d inhale before another cough. You glanced over your shoulder and then told him, “I’m going to find the others. They’ll know what’s wrong, right?”

You went to dart away but a grip on the back of your shirt short stopped you. You tuned in surprise and watched as he shook his head. “Don’t-” He gasped out, and you went back to his side.

“Ignis, I don’t know what to do here.” You said calmly.

“It’ll pass.”

You frowned at how dizzy he looked, almost as if he was wilting in place, and then you muttered, “Oh hell.”

Quickly you dug into your small bag and dug out a potion and pressed it into his hand. “Use it. Usually these things help almost everything right?”

He opened his mouth to protest, but was interrupted by another coughing and wheezing fit. While he was distracted you shattered the bottle in his hand for him. The effect was almost instantaneous, and you could hear him taking in a large gasping breath. Almost as if he had been drowning.

“…You alright there?”

Another small cough left him as he was catching his breath, so he nodded instead.

You waited until he could stand up straight again before speaking. “If you don’t mind my asking…What was that?”

“…An Asthma attack.” He muttered, down casting his eyes so he wouldn’t have to see you.

You frowned and looked at him in concern. “Asthma? I didn’t know you have asthma.”

“Not many are…in fact…I’m almost sure that I’m the only one with Insomnia gone.” He stated in a careful voice.

“Ignis…That’s unusually reckless of you.” You whispered, thinking of all the times you’ve heard him cough on outings with them all. Was he dealing with it then as well?

“Yes well….If people were to find out…I’m pretty sure I’d not be welcome at Noctis’ side any longer.”

You hummed in disagreement. “You really think the prince would let anyone chase you away? I’m pretty sure if someone tried he’d stick to you like a burr if you tried to go.” You gave him a small smile, which he did not return, so you continued. “Anyways, Ignis, it’s terribly dangerous of you not to tell anyone. What if this happened during a battle or while driving or…”

“It wouldn’t. I go to great lengths to ensure that.” He then turned to go to the car, but when he swayed on his feet you stopped him.

“Iggy, I know I said that we shouldn’t spend the night earlier, but after that I really think you should rest.” You pleaded with your eyes, and he let out a sigh.

“Normally, I’d disagree, but this attack was particularly disagreeable with me. So…”

You didn’t cheer or anything. You only nodded and pulled up Prompto’s number and pressed dial.

“Hey there!” He said cheerfully. In the back ground you swore you could hear Gladio and Noctis bickering.

“Prom, hey. Change of plans.” You said, ignoring the stare Ignis was giving you.

“Oh?”

“Ignis is a little under the weather, so we actually are going to stay in the hotel tonight.” You could almost feel the relief coming off of Ignis when you didn’t explain what happened.

“Yes!!” Prompto cheered on the other end of the line.

“Pass it along to tweedle dee and dum? We’re heading there now to secure the rooms.”

“Will do, Sunflower!”

“Alright Sunshine. See ya there in a bit.”

“Later!”

You hung up the phone and then nodded, “We’re good Ig. Let’s go.”

The first part of the walk was in silence, and it was peaceful. (You didn’t dare take your arm off of Ignis though. Just in case he was still dizzy.)

“It’s usually under control.” He began to explain, breaking the quiet. “Its just…the temperature sometimes triggers it…and getting startled makes it worse.”

You gave him a confused look, wondering what he was talking about.

“When were you star-” You started. But he cut you off when he looked at you. Or more specifically your lips. “Oh.”

You swear, you tried to stop the nervous chuckle that left you.

“Gracious Astrals, I know I’ve been called breathtaking before, but this it the first time it’s actually happened.” You teased.

He gave you such a surly look you had to laugh as you began to pull him toward the hotel. “Sorry, was that in poor taste? I’ll make it up to you by not telling anyone else if you don’t want me to.”

“If you’d be so kind…Thank you.” He smiled at you and you beamed back.

“Don’t mention it.”

In reply he surprised you with his own kiss to your forehead.

You blinked and ended up stopping in your tracks as he went on ahead. “Just to let you know, now that I’m not so surprised, I like you more than I should as well.”

You let out a laugh as he left you behind. You couldn’t contain your delight at the sight of a blush travelling up the back of his neck as you began to follow him once more.

Chocobros reaction to their s/o seeing their hair fully unstyled for the first time? (For gladio– maybe tied up instead?) and absolutely ADORING it? Like… getting really stoked over how cute they look….

Noctis:

  • He just woke up, and since he had taken a shower the night before, his hair was completely lacking the normal amount of product it usually held. Which ordinarily wouldn’t have been a problem since he was alone.
  • Or so he thought. He’d completely freeze at the sight of his S/O sitting in his kitchen staring at him with wide beaming eyes. Oh no.
  • He’d take off for the bathroom as quick as he could but his S/O would be quicker. He’d find his arms pinning to his side at they try to stop him from making it to his destination.
  • “Noctis wait! You look so adorable! Let me seeee!” They’d whine at him and go dead weight, so he’d practically be dragging them along with him with every step. Eventually he’d give in.
  • They’d guide him over to the couch and just…run their hands through it and look at him with adoring eyes. “I think this is the first time I’ve seen you like this.”
  • He’d eventually relax until they get their fill of his appearance, and then finish getting ready for the day.
  • (They do not mention how YOUNG it makes him look.)

Prompto:

  • He had been in a rush and hadn’t had time to fix his hair in his usual style. Which was fine with him. He didn’t mind. His friends have seen him have lazy days before. And his S/O was busy for the day, so he wasn’t expecting to run into them or anything.
  • But then he almost get’s tackled in the park during a photo exhibition and has to pry the person hugging him off of him. His heart drops when he sees who it is.
  • “I-I thought you were busy today!” He’d stammer, and they’d just throw back their head and laugh.
  • “You look so different Prom!” They’d reach their hand up and push it off his face since most of his hair is currently obscuring it.
  • He is most certainly NOT blushing. (Or so he’d tell himself.)

Ignis:

  • It would be a sleepy morning, with him rising before the sun for a much needed cup of coffee. It wouldn’t even really register with him that his hair is down.
  • That is until he feels someone turn his face toward theirs and brush his bangs out of his face that he remembers.
  • “You look good like this love.” His S/O would say quietly, and then press a kiss to his forehead before wandering away.
  • He’d be momentarily stunned, but eventually snap out of it. When he’s finally fully awake, he wouldn’t be able to stop smiling to himself.

Gladiolus:

  • He tends to look pretty wild with his hair down, so the first time they see it up, they don’t say anything at first. They simply bask in it.
  • He’d catch his S/O staring and then grin at them. “Something wrong?”
  • “Just wondering what happened to Gladiolus. Have you seen him? He’s normally a windblown mess.” They’d tease, and he’d walk over to them and mess their hair up in retaliation.
  • They’d let him because as soon as he’s in range, their hands shoots out to pull the hair tie out of his hair. He’d be surprised, but still smiling. “There’s the man I know and love.”
  • He’d laugh and tie his hair back up, and go back to what he was doing. “You know you love it.” (They really REALLY do.)

Hey, can I ask for a hedcanons about blind Ignis, where his s/o helps him shave? (Well, sort of how it will respond that it will cut its accident partner due to lack of experience, and things like that?)

  • He’d try to manage on his own at first, because this is Ignis. A fiercely independent individual, who refuses to be someone reliant on someone else.
  • But he’d realize very quickly that without being to see, this was one of the tasks he would not be able to do. And he’d only realize it after he cuts himself fairly deeply on his jaw.
  • He’d call his S/O, who’d just help him take care of the wound and clean up the blood since he wouldn’t be able to see it. They wouldn’t want him any more uncomfortable than he looks.
  • However, it would catch them off guard when he asks them for help shaving. They know for a fact asking is killing him, so they immediately agree without pause.
  • However, he’d have to teach them, as they’d admit they’d never learned. He’d explain the basics and guide their hand for the first stroke, and it’s easy.
  • Though he’d press the knowledge that a nick or two is expected since their hands are unpracticed. They don’t like the thought, but prepare themselves mentally for it anyways.
  • True to form, they do end up cutting him. And though it stings, he doesn’t make any sound, knowing that his S/O would probably bolt away if he gave away that it did hurt.
  • They’d still apologize profusely, but manage to keep going. It’s only when his face is as smooth as he’d like and clean, that they’d help him with the small nicks on his face.
  • They’d dip a cotton ball in a potion they had on hand for such things and dab at the wounds until they healed.
  • Since Ignis was still learning to manage being blind, there was always a new nick or cut on him from things around the places they stayed. Which is why they had the potion on hand.
  • He’d thank them, and that would be that. They wouldn’t bring it up to him, nor he to them, because it still kind of burned him to think about how much his life was changing around him being blind.
  • He would, however, be a lot more affectionate toward his S/O for their help. He would deeply value their assistance, and want them to know just how much it meant to him that they’d help him with such silly things.

Headcannons for Iggy and his s/o who is getting progressively weaker over time due to an illness to the point where it will be difficult for them to do many things by themselves in the future but they try to remain as independent as they can til then

  • He’d be very careful to keep an eye on them, watching for their symptoms, sometimes even better than they do.
  • They in turn let him know if they’re having trouble with something, and what they’re doing to try and overcome it.
  • He’s definitely going to make sure their living arrangement isn’t dangerous for his s/o, and that they can move around the place on their own on their good days, and so that they won’t hurt themself on their bad days.
  • He will sort of hover over them through frequent texts through out their day, and phone calls. This would bother his s/o, but they’d understand his concern.
  • All in all, he’d just be there for them, and willing to stay by them through out their illness.

(1/2) Hi! Could I request a match up? I’m a cis straight woman w/ blonde hair (short bob) blue eyes, 5’3. INFP. quiet around people but more animated with friends. Try to be polite. Kind. Will go along with that others think most of the time. Stubborn and persistent at times but a bit sensitive. Lacks confidence sometimes. Bad habit of cursing. Loud crowds give me headaches easily and make me a bit nervous. Love video games, rpgs especially, music, baking (which I am pretty damn good at!), and

I match you with Ignis!

He’d pick up on how you tend to go with whatever everyone else thinks, and make it a point to ask what your input is. Your persistence is something he’d admire, and he’d want to protect how sensitive you are. He’d also make it a point to call you sweet nicknames like ‘dearheart’ or ‘love’, if he ever felt you lacking confidence in yourself. He’d just want you to know that no matter what you felt that you were valued by him dearly.

It’d actually be kind of fun to cuss around him, because he’d just get this #look on his face that was a mixture of exasperation and amusement. Crowds are something you both don’t like dealing with, and he’d make it a point to avoid them where possible. Baking is something you’d probably enjoy doing together, and with soft music playing in the back ground, it’d almost feel like a date. Computers are actually one of the very few areas he lack skill in, and he’d probably request your help in figuring things out should the need arise to use one.

Match-up please? I’m Aries, straight, female, INFJ. Appearance: 5’6 1/2″, pale skin, layered brown hair ending at a inch below my shoulders & brown eyes with a gold ring around the pupil kind of like an ammonite shell. My favorite things are listening to music(especially rock and roll, alternative with some heavy metal), drawing, reading, and writing. (1/2, same anon who asked about the two-part match up)

I match you with Ignis!

While your musical tastes might be different, I can imagine he’d like the majority of it. You’re both Aries, and while this would be a very tense relationship, it’d work. You both challenge each other enough to keep things interesting, but still maintain the loving and kind atmosphere needed to keep affection for one another thriving.

You’re both similar, but not TOO similar. Your personalities meet each other half way. While you are quiet and reserved like him you tend to think with you heart rather then with logic. With him it’s the opposite. Unfortunately, this would be the main source of tension, as you’d want to choose what you feel is right, while he’d want to go with the logical. (However, there are definitely times when he’d go along with you willingly, wanting an excuse to not have to listen to logical every once in a while.) And, you’re both planners, taking comfort in the expected. (But if something unexpected arises, I can picture you both taking it in stride.)

He’d be good with keeping you centered and calm. I can picture him slipping you sweet nothings and kind compliments if he picks up that you’re feeling insecure. And if you ever do get nervous, he’ll sit with you and make sure nothing happens, and be a quiet reassuring presence until you’re calm. You’re both lone wolves in social settings I imagine, him just because he doesn’t feel the need to socialize, and you because of your experience. But he’d make it a point to be alone together if you ever where in public, both of you drawing on the other for strength.

Boys with a crush on someone who looks very intimidating, but turns out to be very sweet person :)

(I actually had to look up the meaning and synonyms of the word intimidate to see how much I could get away with in this. I was trying to think of different ways someone could be intimidating. xD)

Noctis:

His crush had started in high school.

They always had the same expression on their face. No matter what anyone did. It was always a look of disdain, anger, or disgust, he could never be sure which. They never spoke either. It was kind of scary. And they fact that when they walked the halls, they did not just jump out of the way like most people did for him. No rather they’d stare him down until he moved an equal amount for them to both walk through the hall. Honestly, their presence in a room was very commanding, and almost screamed for everyone to just LEAVE THEM ALONE.

He was smitten though. His friends questioned this when they found out of course. And all of them asked why them. Was it was their eyes? The graceful way they held themself? Maybe their calm and cool demenor? No matter what they’d ask, he’d always say no. And the answer, when he finally gave one, surprised them.

It was their smile.

He’d only ever seen it once, but that was all it took. It was when he was passing through a park, on one of the very rare occasions he’d ventured out alone without telling someone. He’d happened to hear a dog barking and happened to look over to when the source of the sound came from. To his surprise, there they were. Chasing after a dog and smiling to themself. He didn’t want to bother them and ruin the moment, so he left them alone and went home. But the smile stuck with him.

Eventually, he worked up the nerve to sit near them and start up a conversation. His brain stalled at the startled expression on their face, and the soft kind voice that came from them. They were very animated he realized, as expression after expression crossed their face. And then they frowned, which was actually more of a pout, when he said that they always looked angry.

“What? No! I’m not always angry. I just always have my face relaxed.” As if to make a point they relaxed their face and their usual expression fell into place. It clicked in his head then that they just had a naturally grumpy neutral expression, and laughed.

It was the start of another wonderful friendship. (And their smile still made his heart skip a beat.)

Prompto:

He only ever saw them when he went for his run. It was almost habit. It’d been years since they’d first saw each other, and there was something of a silent respect between them. When he’d first started running, other runners would sometimes stop to help him correct his form, or the encourage him. A lot of his social skill were learned from all these bright runners, who rose and ran at the crack of dawn and evening’s twilight.

But they? They never stopped for anyone. Those who tried to help them, and those who needed help. it didn’t matter. They were so focused on themself they just didn’t have time to get to know the others. They were cold. Distant. Anti-social. And they ran like the devil was at their heels. He couldn’t help but admire them, even if he knew they’d never look his way. But the others? They worried endlessly for someone so isolated and focused. Any attempts at talking with them was often met with cool silence.

Through the years, very few facts about them had been revealed. They started running around the same time he did was one of the few he was aware of. They were fast, frighteningly so, was another. And as if to make it a point, they’d try and pass everyone at least twice on the run around the park. (And they often succeeded.)

However, one day, Prompto, in a rare fit of confidence, wanted to prove himself to this person he’d admired for so long. And so, when he heard their telltale foot steps behind him, he ran faster. And when they sped up to try and run past him again, he once again increased his pace. Soon, they were both full on sprinting around the park. When they did managed to catch up to him, pacing it just so they were running side by side, a wild grin lit up their face as they both pressed on.

At the end of their run, they turned and offered their hand to him, introducing themselves at last. As he’d get to know them, he’d find out that their attitude and demeanor wasn’t meant as a slight, but rather that they just couldn’t afford to lose focus of their footing. Revealing very poor health that doctors had said would result in them being sickly all their life, they had actually rebelled against that idea. Running was their freedom. And Prompto was very happy to learn that their personality was just as bubbly as his.

Gladiolus:

Damn, they looked like they could kill a man. (And have probably.) They were someone important around the Citadel he could tell. The way they carried themself, they had to be a Marshall, Crownsguard, or Glaive. But he could never peg them for what they were. They gave nothing away. Their face was always polished smooth, like stone. Even in the middle of battle. But there were many people like that here. Heck, he was one of them.

What made them intimidating was their allure.

Something about them drew the eye. Screamed ‘look at me’. They were dangerously charming, and without effort. More than once, he’d seen someone stop in their tracks upon meeting their gaze, or even the most practiced speaker stumbling over their words upon making eye contact. And when they spoke, people listened. And there was never room for anyone to argue, not that they wanted to.

But this polished image, he should have guessed it was wearing on them. The day he rounds a corner in the citadel, and finds someone crashing into him, he’s deeply surprised to see the look on their face. Like they were lost. And he doesn’t even bother asking if they’re okay, not because he’s tongue tied, but because he recognizes the signs of someone about to break. He guides them away from everyone, to an area where he knows no one goes.

They explain that they’re in training to be a negotiator, and they have to be flawless and perfect, and charming, and they’re actually very scared and can’t even fight and- He has to cut them off and clam them down. It was actually a large surprise that the intimidating person that he liked actually had the personality of a bunny. But it was endearing. So he’d offer his shoulder for them to lean on, and they trusted him enough to be themselves.

(He does, eventually, actually call them bunny to their face.)

Ignis:

Even though Ignis wasn’t usually one to be intimidated by anyone, this person managed it. How? They could vanish. Not really, but it seemed like it. They’d be standing next to you one second, and then gone the next. It was unnerving. Plus, they were quiet. Like a ghost almost. A lot of people thought they were kind of creepy because of it. They worked in the library, and would often be seen re-shelving books quietly and sticking to themselves generally.

It would be when he encounters them outside of the library that he finds himself more than a little take with them. They, shockingly enough, live in the same apartment building. And when a small cat makes an appearance in his own apartment via the window, he’s a bit lost at what to do. It’s small, not quiet a kitten, but not a full grown cat either.

That’s when he hears a small voice calling for a cat. He sticks his head out the window and then actually end up talking like that for a bit before they realize that it’s silly to be speaking from the windows. He scoops up the cat and takes it back to them, and that’s that. But it’s not. Because soon after, cans of ebony would somehow find their way into his things at work, and no one ever sees who it was.

And he finds the gesture very sweet of them, despite their ghostly act.

(He’d never admit to leaving his windows open on purpose for the small cat to clamber though just so he’d have an excuse to talk to them and thank them.)
